The only time i let the Daily Mail soil my paper recycling bin is when it has the £4 coupon in it that Mr.T gladly accepts.

    Daily Mail.

Personally I cant stand the Daily Mail.

I understand the Daily Mail can't stand you, either. :rotfl:

The first sentence is a direct and indefensible lie. It would be quite easy for them to say something a bit more honest like "13 comments published so far" (which, combined with the implication implicit in "Tell us what you think below" would still lead many readers to believe that any comments which comply with the T's & C's would be published without actually saying so), but they don't. I can'y find anything that indicates that their statement might not actually be entirely true.
The Daily Mail disgusts me, but sadly, I am not especially surprised by its deliberate deceit. Quite ironic, given that Melanie Phillips, in her column to which Dave Brooker and others felt motivated to reply, based her argument largely around the value of free speech.

Is it possible the OP accidently did not submit the page ? I have done that in the past when placing an order and a few days later wondered where it was. Try resubmitting your comments

IMHO, the problem with the DM is that it takes itself seriously; how many people read it and then quote it verbatum like it is the truth? :)

The only good thing about the Daily Mail when my mum got it was the Snoopy cartoon!

I have read some of Dave's posts on here (as someone new to forums) and, sorry, Dave, but the Daily Mail not printing your comments is as surprising as the news that the Pope might be Catholic.

Actually, it is unfair that a forum asks for comments and then refuses to publish them. I have found some of Dave's posts surprising and controversial, but never abusive. The trouble is, there is no source of news without bias, no history books without bias - even works of fiction show the prejudices of of the writers either consciously or unconsciously. In newspapers like the Daily Mail, items that challenge their prejudices are not likely to be printed, no matter what they say. They have a particular target readership on which their advertising revenue is focussed and they will not offend that readership (and thus their advertisers and thus their main source of revenue).

Hope they get their act together and start printing your comments, Dave. I am sure that they were of interest.

    Quality paper NOT.

The only time I would ever use the daily mail is when I ran out of toilet paper, nah scrap that, its not even good enough for that.
