All the posts have been really useful as it sounds like, JC509, you're in a similar position to us.

We went through a broker recommended by the developers, so not entirely sure when the full application was put in with Halifax, but we received our documents regarding completed valuation and environmental searches yesterday (9th July); following the valuation being completed by Colleys on 4th July.

Having shared with our broker, that we'd received this information, in the hope of finding out some timescales, i ended my e-mail with:

''Hopefully we will hear something about the mortgage soon?''

Only to be responded with ''hopefully....;-)''

We also have not been asked for any additional documentation, other than 1 payslip each and copy of our passport.

Answers above have been very much welcomed! Thank you!

Halifax mortgage, we have 46% deposit

I applied, full applicatuion on 22/6, no docs required with halifax.
    Valuation done on 1/7.
    recieved valuation report 5/7.

and still waiting for offer, I guess could be few weeks or so.

    thanks.

ur situation is very similar to us,except ur valuation was faster. They did not required any document from us as well, absolutely noting at all and we weren't bank with them. I found it so weird, i thought it was just our case like that. I was told by my MA, the computer did not asked for anything because we have such good credit rating and large deposit as first time buyers.

    Good luck!Fingers crossed.

Also, do they normally let you know the offer by post, email, or phone?

    Fingers crossed.

Both for me. They called me on the Friday to tell me that it was successful and that they had put the offer in the post that day. Received it in the post early the following week.

Hi, We don'y bank with them either and they also said no documentation was required. I hadn't even bothered checking both of our credit scores and have no idea what score we both are. However I can only assume they are good as we don't really get any credit very often and have no CC's or anything!
I also found it strange they didn't ask for anything.

Me just waiting patiently, whatever happens happens.;)

    Thanks

Well, it took me over a month and a half because my application wasn't complete so I had to send some additional papers..
