We need to complete the form then Colgate will verify our details against their database.
My old brush is ready packaged up and will be in the post later today.

I received the email at 11.24.
It is a FREEPOST address so no charge to send old brush in.

Having complained to Colgate in writing about the farce at Waterloo Station, I received an absolute brush off (pardon the pun) reply from them in the form of a letter.

(Text removed from MSE Forum Team)

She wrote " "we are sorry that the experience when you arrived at the station was not as expected or as we intended"

Not what they expected they say, well what did they expect, do they have a competent promotions team?...I think not.

Clare then told me I could reenter the competition on line, how generous don't you think?

No mention of reimbursing people for their time and effort.

I have sent another letter (text removed from MSE Forum Team), not holding my breath.

Colgate, you are a shambles, how not to do a promotion !!!!

I haven't received an email yet - I am guessing that I never will

I am stuck using my old toilet brush on the end of my black and decker drill with HAMMER action to get rid of stubborn tartar build up !!

How do we know that colgate are actually sending out 7000 brushes, and not 700 or even 70 ?

Does this make me a sore loser ?

lol, nope coz I feel the same :o
They may have made the promotion fairer, by making it an on-line raffle (something they should have done to begin with) - but it doesn't compensate me for my time wasted going to Waterloo station on the Tuesday morning.

Rather than add an additional 1000 brushes (for a potential extra 50million participants!), they should have worked out how to say sorry to the "Waterloo Queuers" first.

Edit: Checked my spam folder - just in case - still nothing :(

I think a lot of us will be joining you in the "sore loser" club.
I know my luck and I think even if they were sending out 70000 or 700000 my name would be missing from the list!

Point of law here - doesn't a competition require some form of skill or test - rather than random selection
I thought that that was the reason that on-line (and off-line) prize winners were always required to answer a question (no matter how inane it is) - beit a silly choice of answers like THE GADGET SHOW or similar ?

It wasnt a comp, it was more of a raffle:

Due to unprecedented demand we have moved this promotion online to make it easier for everyone to take part.
We apologise to everyone who was unable to swap their electric toothbrush at London Waterloo and Victoria stations.
We have made this promotion even bigger and will swap 7,000 electric toothbrushes. Registration opens 12 noon Wednesday 10th and ends midnight Saturday 20th July to UK residents (excluding N Ireland). Registrations will be selected randomly and advised by email on 24th July 2013.
Here are the steps to take part:
    1. Complete the on-line registration form on this page
    2. Successful registrations will receive an email on 24th July with instructions on the option to swap your old electric brush in the mail using a freepost address.
    3. Once we receive your old electric brush in the mail, you can expect to receive your brand new Colgate® ProClinical® A1500 within 28 days
