Hi all, hope you've all had a good Christmas and spent it in whatever way makes it special for you.

I'm finally ploughing through the last of the leftovers here, with plenty in the freezer to use over the coming months.

I also had a sad moment this week...got the last item out of my stash from the Asda misprice episode. Ohhh, those were the days, now I only have a couple of dettol sprays and some gloopy comfort left in my stock. Sniff sniff.

Hi Kerri, CW and red. Happy New Year to you all and everyone else lurking!

I haven't got much stash left, some Dove for Men shower gel, airwick sprays and a few other bits and bobs.

Likewise, loads in the freezer, made 2 lots of butternut squash soup - absolutely delicious. Used 8 allotment veg for Christmas meal

    Here's to a great 2017 :T:beer:

Hi guys. I thought I would be the only one that has been awol but it appears we all have.

Anyway, Happy New Year to you all.

Things have been hectic in my house cos we have been protesting against developers wanting to build on the farm at the back of our house. So every day we are doing something to stop the farmer being thrown off his farm. 5 farmers in total have been told they will be evicted if the development goes ahead.

We have all ahd a few health issues but you just have to get on with it don;t you.

So I hope your all well and the winter isn;t getting you down.

    Take care

Hey CW wow, that sounds like a massive thing to be going on - how many homes are they looking to build?

How is your knee? any progress on the brace yet?

Well I have no idea how it's nearly the end of Jan - it seems to have gone in the blink of an eye. We're turning our thoughts back to what needs to be done to the house next and over the year to get it more or less completed.

I'm also back in training for the next 1/2 marathon which is fast approaching.

I'm sure everyone is busy with RL but hope there is some good stuff going on for you all.

    Morning guys

The protest group is so busy. We have started fundraising as we think we will need a barrister shortly. Every day is hectic with messages as so many people don;t know what is going on in our area. And tbh some don;t care either. But we have to keep trying or where we live will be ruined. I am so upset as the developers don;t care about the affect on the wildlife in the woods and fields, the herons, the deer and foxes they certainly don;t care that where we live cannot cope with any more traffic if they do build.

I haven;t had time to chase the hospital again as things are so hectic.

Good luck with the training kerri, and hope your house gets sorted soon.

    Hi Jeferey, kerri and red.

Hope your all well. Seems we are all real busy atm with our normal lives and none of us have had time to pop on here which is a shame.

I have told myself I must try harder.

Our protest group is keeping me busy, lots of talking, meetings and phone calls etc. Hope we win.

So, take care guys and if you have a minute pop in and say hello.

Hey CW yes, I'm with you thinking I must try harder to post here - I often feel guilty hopping on other threads and not here but then think I should write a proper post on here and never seem to find the time.

Wishing you all the best with the protest group. Do keep us posted.

RL busy here, back in full swing with the house, guttering first to be done then garden design planning (hoping neither myself nor OH ends up under a new patio at the rate we are disagreeing at times :rotfl::rotfl:) Be nice to get that done and be able to sit out and enjoy the garden this summer.

Hope everyone else is well. xx

Morning kerri, and Jeferey and red if you have time to pop in.

RL is keeping everyone so busy. My big news is. .... wait for it..... we have bought another house. Its a house wreck unfortunately but its a bungalow on the same street we live. I have done what Kirstie Alssop says, buy the worst house on the best street. lol. But my leg and knee is not going to get any better than it is now so I need to get rid of stairs and moving is the only way to go.

My ds has been busy getting rid of the old carpets, the house has been empty for a couple of years so it was really damp. He has removed all the plaster from the walls and we have now instructed an architect to do the plans for the renovation as we need to demolish the garage and utility room and rebuild them.

It will be great when done, just hope I can survive the stress of the renovation. My ds wants to do as much as he can to keep costs down.

So I know how you feel kerri, all this work causes so much stress that I might end up under the patio with you. :rotfl::rotfl:. The garden is a mess, but that will definately have to wait till the builders have done their job.

What with the house and the protest group my life certainly has got busier the last few months. Just hope we get a good summer so the builders once they start actually can get on with things quickly.

    Take care everyone

    Good morning guys

Hope everyone is well. We are still waiting for another set of drawings from the architect. Thought they would have come a couple of days ago really. Not a lot my son can do at the new house without the plans so a bit in limbo.

The weather is marginally better today, well its not raining anyway, but still damp and cold. Need some sunshine to cheer us all up.

    Take care guys
