    Good morning all.

Not you as well Jeferey. I wonder what makes everything seem to break at once, fate I guess but so damned annoying.

I got my new microwave and struck lucky with it (for a change) I went to tesco just as a nice SA was putting some reduced electrical items out. Vax steam mops for £19.50, vax vacuum cleaner for £23.50, tesco own make irons for £3.75 and at the bottom of the cage was a microwave.

I asked him how much it was as I was desperate for one as mine had broke the night before. There wasn;t any room on the shelf for a microwave so don;t know if was to go out or what.

Anyway he removed the last of the vax steam mops and put them on the shelf and got the microwave out of the metal cage and scanned it at £27.50 for a samsung microwave. It was still sealed. Got a cheap kettle to take it to just over £30 (which will be going back) so I could use £15 of clubcard points coupons on double up.

Once the kettle has gone back it will mean the microwave only cost me £12.50 which was clubcard points anyway. The microwave is £103 at amazon and £110 at argos. Its black which I wouldn;t have chosen at full price but for £12.50 I am happy to ignore the colour. lol.

Tesco boost ends next week for anyone thinking of double their clubcard points.

I've got the Ted Baker Ted Abbey gift set from Boots and some bath bombs so far for OH. I had a look at some bracelets but wasn't sure.

I'm going to take advantage of the AMEX Shop Small that starts tomorrow, should be able to get some good stuff for half price if I stick to a tenner for each transaction.

Have to drop a few hints to your OH to see what she fancies for xmas. At least then you will get what she likes.

Good luck with your shopping tomorrow :)

Oh dear CW and Jeferey sounds like you've both had a right couple of days of it. Great bargain on the new microwave though cw, think I'd overlook the colour for that price too!

Well speaking of domestic sagas, the replacement dowelling arrived for our wardrobe today so guess what we'll be doing on Sunday again, talk about Groundhog Day.

Seem to have misplaced my xmas mojo, decs down from the loft but can't be bothered to put them up now.

Afternoon all - really cold here even though the sun shone first thing. Both our cars were totally frosted up this morning.

I can join Jeferey & CW in the tales of woe. My DH's car with only 4000 miles on clock had the clutch go on Monday. Vauxhall are refusing to cover under warranty and say it is driver error. He has been driving for over 60 years & never had a clutch go before. I think he was stupid in that he drove the car after it first went & then couldn't stop because he was on narrow really bendy, quite dangerous, country roads with a lorry up his backside even though he was only going at 10mph. We have the bits & are going to get a couple of other opinions & try and get Vauxhall to at least help towards the cost of £1500!
Last week the Dyson started making screaming noises which we can't work out why & yesterday my dishwasher wouldn't work. It had water left in it and although we have done as instructed in the manual it just doesn't do anything when you switch it on.
I hope that is the three now.
Christmas cards have started arriving but the ones to write have been sitting on the table for over a week. Really have to get them done this weekend as next week we are really into Xmas lunches with 3 to go to. Just hope that I can keep off the weight I lost this year as I feel so much better for it.
Must also get the Xmas cake made - the only thing, with brandy butter, that I have to contribute to Xmas Day meals so I can't really complain.

Yikes! not you as well Red - I'm really feeling for you all atm. My friend texted earlier to say her tv broke yesterday and a wardrobe they ordered arrived damaged (no I didn't post her mine!) Oh, and her toilet cistern broke last week and emptied itself all over the bathroom and downstairs toilet.

I partly found my xmas mojo today, pretty much done the last food shop in the run up to xmas, we have snacks in, cheese (oh must go to Sainsbobs to get some for OH), enough food to see us through to the big event except for perhaps fruit and veg. So I just need to get the trimmings (turkey in the freezer) and drink.

Completed present shopping for DM I thing - just OH to do now, tree to put up, cards to write and post....ARGH!

Still, i've just had word that boot camp will be on before xmas (4 sessions) so hopefully i'll keep of the quality street gain before 25th.

Chilly here, going running tomorrow - brrrrrr

Ouch Red, hope you get them to stump up :(
    Well done Kerri :)
Come on CW, I've put lights up on front of house and tree has been up for days!
Evening all, haven't been shopping today, ended up fence repairing and painting as new greenhouse is coming on Wednesday and I'm not ready :p. I've gone for a lovely silver colour for the fence as I'm hoping it'll eventually match the new Red Cedar Greenhouse which apparently goes a silvery colour in time. My mum and dad and FIL/MIL have been for evening meal today and they all thought it was a great colour, bit different from the usual green, brown etc.
It'll end up being a christmas holiay job, at least I've got 17 days off then starting next Friday :D

Our fence is blue Jeferey It was actually the colour it was when we moved in but we repainted it last year and kept it as it was.

Decorations up, as is the wardrobe (one edge not 100% flush and bugging me a bit but I'll get over it), had some trees at the side of the house cut back today by a couple of lads touting for business (wouldn't normally agree on the spot like that but it was a good price and something that did need doing), been for a run, and now thinking what on earth was I doing agreeing to boot camp tomorrow morning

Greenhouse sounds lovely Jeferey - it will be fab when its up

    Where do these weekends go?

    Good morning guys

We have had bad weather over the weekend and it looks like today will be no better. Yesterday we had rain, hail, sleet and a bit of snow too. Its been raining and hail for the past hour on and off so the roads etc are really slippy.

Started to get some decs out yesterday but so much to do.

Hope your all well and evrything stops breaking down for us.

Red I would have another go at Vauxhall, keep on at them and hopefully they will see sense. Is anything trapped in the Dyson like some string or something ?

The main problem I have with our Dyson is hair - DD1, DD2 and FD all have long hair and it wraps itself round everything. I've taken to using a stanley knife and pliers to get it off

Morning all :D, cold and wet this morning 2°C but no sign of the sleet or snow the Met Office warned us about last night.
