That's true, it could've been worse. It was the item where the buyer wanted it posted elsewhere as well, why is it always the case that when one thing goes wrong it snowballs.

We spent enough on having some brickwork done in the garden last year, this is all kind of shoring up what is alreay there and making good as a lot of the wood that was originally put in before we moved in has rotted. These are 'new' sleepers, not the big reclaimed ones, I found the place where we get them from online, it's not too far for us, £24 local delivery, and about £20 a sleeper so not as expensive as a lot of places. It's a family business and they're really helpful. its actually quite a small garden, we could change it totally if we wanted but it would be a log of work and expense so just going with what we have for the moment.

Pouring with rsin here this morning when I went for a run, dull but sill mild atm. Just put some fat out for the birds...cat has shot out to eat it... I give up lol!

Re organising the garden is hard work. We did ours years ago. We moved an old path and as the garden on one side of the path was nearly a foot lower than the other side and very wet as well due to a high water table in this area it cost us a fortune. We had drainage put in by a builder, then we had 30 tonnes of top soil delivered which we had to wheelbarrow round to the back garden which is down 3 steps. Then we levelled the garden and had a raised border put in which then had to be filled and all planted up. Then a new lawn put down and a pond dug. Phew just thinking about it is exhausting. Glad we did it though as it looks better all level.

Sounds great but hard work CW and Kerri!

It just so happens I am doing the same thing! My new greenhouse is coming next month and I spent a good chunk of yesterday taking the old one down. I'm going to lift the new one up 1 to 2 feet higher and bring it forward a bit to make access to the fence easier and so it's level with the summer house (which I need to move forward as well). Once that's done I'm going to put some decking between the two, now that the trampoline has gone and make a permanent seating/entertaining area.

    Should keep me busy :D

    Morning everyone :)

I know all that is hard work Jefery but I am sure it will be worth it in the end. Hope the weather stays fairly mild so you can get on with it.

Our shed prob needs replacing at some point, its rotted at a back corner - but its powered to the mains and likely means getting a proper electrician in when we're taking down and replacing it. Prob won't get time this year, but will look at making the corner sound for the moment when the weather is better - its really awkward to get to and I don't know how earth has got behind the shed to rot it in the first place - think its through a back neighbours fence.

Washing was out drying earlier ..... then it rained when I was at work so I've just had to rewash it all. What a pain.

Its really got colder the last couple of days reminding us that winter is coming. Hope we don;t have too much snow this winter and scraping the frost and ice off a car in the morning is a pain in the butt.

What a nuisance having to do the washing again, hope it stays dry for you next time.
