Morning everyone. After yesterday's dull, dismal and damp day, have woken up this morning to sunshine and blue sky. It's cold but that's a good trade-off for the sunshine.

Sorry not been about much, been at in-laws helping them get sorted out.

Sorry to hear about your mum PM. My DAIL is back in hospital in Birmingham again, she's got heart failure, leukemia and various other ailments but she keeps soldiering on. She spoke to DW last night on the phone and she wants to go home. Don't know when that will happen

Thanks everyone for the brownie wishes, I used Nigella's everyday brownie recipe but with dark choc, and 50 / 50 light brown sugar and molasses as i prefer the deeper flavour you get from molasses. Oh, and chucked in some Glace cherries for good measure. Seem to be ok, although I do think I prefer the ones with guinness in them.

Frugal - I don't have a breadmaker and don't really have room for one. However the dough was virtually trying to climb out of the bowl never mind double in size and my friend (who makes pizza dough often) said this was a good sign. Portions frozen atm ready for later in the week.

Working on recipes for Xmas cupcakes now, this mixer is going to cost me a fortune (in new clothes for my waistline lol!)
