    Afternoon all

So cold here today brrrrr having to have the heating on again :(. Waiting in today as have sold some baby toys on gumtree and collectors coming today desperately need to make some room before the new wave of toys at Xmas lol. Have sorted those to sell some to donate to bric a brac at school fair and loads to charity shops but still doesn't feel like we have any more room.

Today's job I have 80 cello cones to fill with sweets and decorate for Santa at the school fete managed to make them for just under 50p each including the the cones and decs so not bad as we only charge £1 to see Santa

Jeff glad most of the build finished now we still have a few tiny bits to do but after so long the little bits get left as you run out of steam and enthusiasm lol

Good morning. Sorry I haven't been around for a while, hope your mum is ok PM.

I see you have all heard the very sad news about mad. Two days later and I still cannot believe it has happened, keep expecting him to post saying it was all a joke and he just wanted to see if he would be missed :( The elite have done a great job of raising some money in his name and opened a new thread in his name. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4826063 Nearly £1300 has been raised so far and also £200 for some flowers, which is lovely and just shows how much he was thought of. I still remember his moc dances in his undercrackers:cool:, seems like only yesterday since we were all on the coupon thread together.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Evening all, sorry i've not been online - was away for a few days visiting family north of the boarder, back home and straight back into work. The thing I love about having two days off at the start of the week is the expectation that you can then merrily squeeze 3 days work into the day you're back, whilst sorting through the 200+ emails accrued during the aforementioned two days holiday because it seems these days 'out of office' messages mean nothing....sorry rant over.

ps Xmas decs can only officially go up from 1st Dec :xmastree: except for Xmas bedding, that can officially be used from Nov onwards :D

I have spotted decorations up in a neighbours house, so does that mean I can put mine up? I think I read somewhere that FT has put up her reindeer light, good enough for FT then good enough for Blue I think, we can share the bad luck if that is what's supposed to happen having them up early:D

I don't often post on here but I do browse through regularly.

Well done Jeferey - you've been lucky having a time of low rates.

Our early house purchase days were when it was up to 15% - never really had the chance to pay off early but wonderful when you realise the house really belongs to only you.

How are you PM? Keeping cheerful and positive?

Nice to see you posting redagila. The good thing about this thread is that people can pop in and out as and when. I know I have been doing quite a bit of that lately, but RL seems to get in the way.

Is anyone going to the Good Food show either in London or Birmingham? I'm hoping for some decent coupons, was hardly any worthwhile ones at the summer one. If no coupons will just have to console myself with a drink or 3 at each drinks stand. ;)

Thanks Blue and no it's too early for xmas decs, bah humbug :D. I'm not going to GFS.

Got a bit of a surprise last night when I got home, DW had spotted some fluff in downstairs toilet while she was dysoning ;) and decided to clean it up. She says she nudged the pipe at the bottom of the heated towel rail and it popped out squirting water with black stuff in it all over the tiles, ceiling, floor, toilet rolls, towel, FD's coat hanging on back of door, etc.
She had got a neighbour in to fix it but wasn't on right so when I topped up the system and turned boiler back on it popped off again soaking more toilet rolls, the tiles, walls (you got it...) so I got another handyman neighbour to have a look and he's fixed it temporarily so at least we got the heating back on.
We probably need a new radiator as I reckon the valve is bust. Oh well, we needed some new taps in there too so it'll be a decent job for the plumber now.

    Morning all :)
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

Now that is a lesson to us all, if you see a bit of muck hidden, leave it alone :p:p:p Sorry jefery that it has made such a mess, but lesson learnt maybe;)
