I hope you get it all sorted :) I just wanted to ask if it's okay at what point did you realise something is definitely going on as I've had a few things going missing in the past couple of weeks

Hi lilmiztam22, it has been over a period of 8 months its been going on but we realised after a few months, first it was drivers license i had changed as it needed my new address on it. Then bank card/ new pin code didn't turn up. Magazine subscription never came so i cancelled it after 3 issues (wasn't easy to do!), things off eBay that weren't tracked, one of my sons birthday cards had been opened and money taken out, other missing cards for my husbands birthday etc etc everything that didn't turn up i chased and everything was confirmed sent! Also small prizes like i won a book and a mascara that never showed up, £100 worth of clothing vouchers never showed up, samples for make up/food etc.

We just knew something was up because it cant all be a coincidence! Why do you think you have a problem.

Wow it's nothing compared to yours, I think if your postman stole all that then you do deserve to know especially concerning personal things like driving license. Mines just little things like unrecorded shoes that I know were sent, my student finance forms and little prizes like books.

Most posties are good, hard-working and honest- like those members here.

But sadly there are a few who aren't.

Couple of years ago there was a court case, locally, of a postman who'd stolen from mail he should have delivered.

Yeah we have never had an issue with the PM before we moved house, always tipped our PM at xmas etc etc - just feel a bit disappointed.

In a delivery office the 'sorting staff' are delivery posties too
(a lot of people think posties simply go in,grab and bag and go)
posties that steal while doing the sorting are the harder to nail down,
as it takes a long time for patterns to show on what is missing and from when

Well I have to say that my postie is awesome, I'm dreading this privatisation malarkey too. Leave our PO & posties alone :( it ain't broke, don't fix it!
