Missing Post New PostMan

Hi guys,

So this is kinda comp related you can move it if you want. Last Nov we moved house and ever since we have been here we have had missing post. My drivers licence, debit card, pin number, items off eBay that were not recorded, missing birthday cards etc - this has all been since last Nov. We just didn't think anything of it really until I started comping about 2 months ago and little bits here and there haven't turned up like free samples or small prizes that weren't recorded. So 2 weeks ago i reported it and royal mail opened a case and said they would get in touch with our local sorting office, 3 days after i opened the case we have a new post man! (I smell a rat!) I called today to see if theres anything that can be done as my identity is at stake and they were useless and said no.

Has anyone else had any similar experiences?

p.s. they also wont tell me what the "official" outcome was although its obvious I still would like to know in black in white and think i have a right to know! All the could tell me was if you have a new post man then that pretty much says it all. thanks royal mail!

Just like any other big company
    internal procedures aren't disclosed
If you got a disciplinary at work, would you expect it to be public knowledge?
unless a criminal case comes to court, then you are unlikely to ever know

OMG That is awful! Surely is your old postie was a thief you should get some sort of compensation for the items he obviously stole!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

All the more reason you need answers from your local post office! The thieving postie will obviously be going to court so something should be done about your lost documents! I would not back down and seek legal advice or go to you local citizens advice bureau! Keep us posted!

I think you should learn about the difference between Royal Mail and Post Office counters before looking for answers.
  • Mine has been known to drop items over a six foot gate because nobody was in and can't be bothered to return them to the depot ...

If you're concerned about your identity being stolen, register with CIFAS. That should ensure that anyone trying to get credit using your name will have extra hoops to jump through. Including you, obviously, but worth it if it's bothering you that much.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
