I have a factor 30 and a factor 50. The SPF50 is a La Roche Posay one (melt-in cream), and while it's expensive, it really is the bees knees
The SPF30 is a different brand (Neutrogena) and it's good, but not as strong as the SPF50.
I think it might be because the SPF50 cream is a physical block and the 30 is a chemical one. Sorry to get all technical! The physical sunscreens are really effective at blocking out the sun, but they can leave your skin looking really white, which might not be what you want in summer (I like to try and get a bit of colour in my pale skin)0
