Hope the Ofsted goes OK Dusty - have you been told yet?

Been super busy - was flying last night because, after the show we had to clean the whole church - (and we had had splurge everywhere (production was Bugsy Malone)). At one point we were using, in addition to aerosol snow, canned cream. This was changed after we realised it soon gets VERY smelly BUT I discovered the hoods had a secret stash  so I had to confiscate it!

I ache all over this morning. I have had to turn down supply as were are at the dentist later but I don't think I would be in a fit state TBH.

Today's the day they find out about their new classes. Plan 1; which leaked out, has been drastically altered and this means the mum 'I know because my husband's a Governor and he told me and are you doing (a certain topic) because... ' will get a surprise.

They also get their reports. Opened one to print it, got an error message and IT ALL VANISHED

I have managed to wash every day; so the ironing pile is huge and ran DW last night, so Villa Valli isn't TOO minging.

    Morning all x
Been too busy getting the TiPers ready and packing up the caravan for them to post but sent them on their merry way yesterday, did a bit of ironing yesterday morning with the intention to do a bit more when it cooled down again but that never came about as it was still hot when I went to bed :(
    So on the agenda today
    DS2 to summer school
Ironing for as long as comfortable
    A clean of the bathroom
A blitz of the LR and kitchen

And that just gives me to rooms to blitz with the 'help' of the weans.

Off to finish my cuppa and make a start

Love and hugs to all xx

Time for a cuppa. DS3 was quite nervous this morning but DS2 was great at dealing with him.

Valli got email from VC yesterday late evening. I'm not being called upon so will just need to wait for the outcome. They have the new Year 6 in today (county moving up day) and Sports Day for the upper school so it'll be very interesting what they report on.

Time to gather the laundry and get the machine on.

    Morning everyone

My plan for after work today:
    • Get waxed!
    • Clean bathroom
    • Make up spare bed
    • More ironing
Getting closer to my target of an empty ironing basket before the weekend (when it will of course be re-filled with more freshly washed clothes! :o).

    Have a good day everyone.

YAY!! I have laundry to do!! lol... 2 baskets worth.. none will be getting done until Monday after today though.

    DW needs feeding

Half dead pigeon we shoved in a box in the bin has disappeared so whether one of the neighbours or a passing fox has eaten it I have no idea but the infernal thing will not be hooting down my chimney pot again!!! Hateful vile things!

OH being acquainted with the vacuum cleaner while I finish packing, change bed sheets and find 1000 other things that need doing.

It took 2 weeks before we had the result - and that was with no initial feedback. Have you been told when you will hear?

We got Good with Early Years getting Outstanding. It would seem that the spelling/grammar mistakes were not noticed...

One does wonder WHY Ofsted even consider visiting schools at the beginning and the end of the year!

Anyway, am now showered; bathroom tiles bleached. Recycling has been collected which is excellent as my glass box was full of beer bottles and I had visions of the spanish inquisition from my mother regarding consumption of same. Thing is; they weren't there when I put the bin out...in all likelihood neighbours have run out of room so have used mine! (NDNs have carte blanche to add to my recycling if theirs is full;))

    Pots washed. I'm washed. it's a start...

(CY - I know of two teachers who regularly write 'Your a star' as a marking comment  and a Head who refers to keeping things quiet as being 'discrete')

'Your a star'? Oh heaven help me!

When DD1 was in year 4 the spellings came home on printed sheets. I regularly had to go in and point out mistakes on them. The following year DS brought the same sheets home.....uncorrected. Two years later DD2 brought the same sheets home ...... still showing inaccuracies!!!!

You'd think, wouldn't you, that if someone was relatively new to Ebay and sold a relatively costly item after a very specific series of messages, that they'd describe its faults accurately? I'm going to have to take them on because it was bought on my account for some people I'm working with at the moment and they are very, very unhappy. And rightly so - we don't have time to source a replacement and it's going to mean a huge amount of work for someone, if, and only if, he can sort the problem out.

Anyone got a UK Size 8 lookey-likey copy of a Victorian dress they want to see in a film?
