best one i had from primary was when each subject was on a separate page that was then all stapled together into a little book. heads comment was that DS1 was overall a polite boy who tried hard but let himself down by consistently getting low marks and misbehaving in a couple of subjects. having read through the report i noticed that DS name had changed on some pages. spoke to parents in the playground next day and after double checking our reports were a mix of each others pages. school wouldn't discuss it with us 'because of data protection' so we had great fun in the playground playing page swap. after that they were all printed out on one sheet.

loved the personalision on DS1 first high school report with the heads comment. "overall a great first year but let himself down badly by not realising sometimes you should not try to win everything". after asking it was a joke between head and DS1 that head was winning the charity day as many marshmallows in your mouth at one time comp till DS bettered his score. :rotfl:
shame in a way that many reports are now culled from a word bank and seem really impersonal.

hope ofsted goes well for you Dusty

Thanks for the suggestion Mrs MP, but filming starts on Monday and the dress is needed then - and the wardrobe department (two local fashion students- the budget is eye-wateringly tight) is also kitting out the rest of the cast and doing fittings and alterations over the weekend.

The absolutely infuriating thing about it is that this is the second Ebay seller that has gone out of their way to lie about what they're selling. We've already got our money back once and that's why it's all being done so late. Double grrrrrrrr.
    Better is good enough.

Morning all my lovely new washing machine arrived yesterday and has been on the go ever since. Plus loads more to do before we head to the beach tomorrow, really can't wait to get away. :D

Need to head into town later for sun stuff, meds and few other bits. Must pay for DS1 to go to the football camp too at least that will be done before I forget again.

Me and kids are going to go now and tidy through every room, then we'll get the toys gathered up from outside and the pool emptied. I would love to have all done tonight and then we can go anytime tomorrow.

I've even managed to have a little bit of me time and got my hair cut up into a bob, really chuffed with it as with this heat and the thickness and length it had got was just awful.

Right better stop talking and get on. Hope everyone is well and happy. See you later with my update. :D

I had school reports with incorrect names on too.. I highlighted all the spelling errors and wrong names and took it in to the head and told them if they couldn't be bothered to write about MY daughter then what is the point of copying and pasting paragraphs to each childs reports, I'd rather not have a report at all. Also, that spelling errors from a teacher was unacceptable especially when it was all done on computer and maybe they should be acquainted with the spell check.

When we got DS2's forms for moving up to high school, obviously from the LA and in 3 separate places it said 'signiture' ... so I corrected said spellings not realising the high schools all got copies of the forms until I received a call from one of the schools congratulating me on picking them up on it lol.

I think it is a disgrace, no excuse at all!

Tesco delivered.. it is mostly all put away.
cupboard food/cereal sorted for the weekend
    1 load of laundry out
WM x2 on.. one with Squeaks best bunny.. she wee'd on it.
Undies in the TD waiting until there is a decent quantity to turn it on.

I am in muchos pain now and starving still.

Yep - we are picking up on professionals here who should know better. There was a woman on one thread banging on about being a secondary English teacher - her post was full of innaccuracies (that clearly weren't typos) and she was most snippy when I pointed them out. If she couldn't be bothered to correct her own spellings then she should have kept quiet about her job;)

    Hello ladies.

Loved your conversation with miss moo Bossy.

I've done 90 minutes ironing, 4th wash is in the machine. Kitchen has been scrubbed. Floors swept and mopped. HSL hoovered. Bathrooms s/s.

DS3 won all his races at sports day. Teachers in the upper school are just realising he's the little brother of DS2 who was sports captain for 2 years. His records still stand - DS3 is going to do his best to beat them.

A good friend is coming over for a late lunch. We met in hospital in '93 when we ended up next to each other with our new born sons. Can't believe it was 19 years ago next week.

Good day wishes to all xx
