Printer saying offline ?

At the moment it won't print from any of the devices even tho 2 say online and everything appears ready to go except it doesn t.

The reason it gave at first was a print job was holding up the queue but even when I clear all documents it still doesn t work and it says error. It says error on the laptop when I click to see what documents are there. Yes they all have ink.

This happens to my Hp printer and I end up reinstalling the drivers and it works again.
It usually happens when the printing is VERY important!

Thanks I ll try that a bit later when visitors have gone lol. It had printed certain things but only when I've clicked on to test it

I installed a printer last week with similar results. Wrong port was the problem. No idea why yours would have changed but easy to try. Printer-properties-ports. Note which port its on before changing anything so that its easy to change back.

Is the printer connected wirelessly or wired?

If wireless then check it is connected to the correct network. Also try connecting with a cable.

In the printer setup screen you may be able to see the IP address. Type that into your web browser. Look at the settings.

All else fails, reset the machine to factory settings (resetting the drivers only affects the laptop, not the printer).

It's connected wirelessly. I ve just done another troubleshoot and it now says It cannot be contacted over the netŵork and they can't fix it. Also it seems to be correctly configured but the device or resource is not responding.

Have you checked what network it is connected to?

Have your tried a factory reset of the printer and start again?
