Lloyds Bank getting rid of paying-in books ?

Somebody has said to me that Lloyds are no longer issuing paying-in books to their personal customers, only to business customers........
Is this really true ?
There are certainly no paying-in slips in my local branch any more. They want us to use a 'hole in the wall type ' thing or hand your cheques over at the counter !
How are we all going to keep all our banking info together if we end up with slips of paper as a record of the banking. I know I won't

No I seem to recall that they have tried to get rid of paying in slips in branches.0

So have I.
I use the internet banking to know what's in there, then get statements once every 3 months.

Retain your receipts in an envelope if they're that essential to you.0

I'm sure there were paying in slips and envelopes in branch when I was there this week.0

I think the last time I used a paying in book was when I was a kid. Last time I deposited funds, I just threw my debit card at the cashier and said "I want this cash in that account" and she did everything for me and give me a receipt slip. Once I confirmed the money was in my account and the correct amount, I shredded the slip.
Typically though, unless I sold something a few thousand pounds, I see no point in depositing it as I'll use it up eventually anyway.0 -
Doing everything electronically means I don't have any banking info to keep together in a book...urs sinserly,

Paying in books and slips are now old hat. You asked about keeping your banking together, what is so hard about having an envelope at home for deposit receipts. What do you do with receipts from shops?.
Your statement provides a list of all deposits. If it makes things easier you can ask the cashier to put a reference on the deposit which will in turn appear on your statement. I really don't see what the problem is.
On the rare occasion when I do pay in cash, I just hand over my card and the cash and then check my mobile app when I walk out of the branch. Then I bin the receipt if the money shows up, job done.Money is a wise mans religion0
