Spinach and chickpea curry is delicious. Also I make spicy chickpea pasties using diced potato and onion with cumin and coriander.

Once you've cooked the chick-peas you can just add them to salads (they go well with tomatoes) or pasta or rice salads. They're also nice bunged into tomato-based pasta recipes.

Cooked chick-peas can also be roasted to make a healthy snack - spread cooked chick peas onto a roasting tin/baking tray, sprinkle with whatever spices you like (eg cayenne pepper, paprika ) and drizzle with oil then bake for 45-60 mins or until crunchy. Did these last night and they're very moreish - none left now!

I also pop chick-peas into pitta breads with some salad and a bit of mayo, take these to work for my lunch quite often.

This sounds fab. I am always stuck for ideas of things to make for lunch at home. I sometimes resort to buying bean burgers but my 2,5yr old would enoy helping me make these.

A really cheap and easy way I find to use them is chickpeas and tomatoes once had a recipe but have simplified it over the years.
cook the chickpeas and put in a pan with onions some olive oil, can of tomatoes (or mashed fresh ones) and a splash of soy sauce. (Or just salt and pepper) its good on its on with Pitta bread etc or with rice, couscous or quinoa. It freezes well and I also defrost it sometimes and blitz it in a food processor to make soup.

    hi
for a good chick pea (or for that matter any other veg/meat) curry - try and lay your hands on "the curry secret" by Chris Dillon.it is only a little book - about £4 from most big book shops. i have bought this book 5 or 6 times and i keep giving it away to friends/family so they will all have a go at making things

    Cheers
