How do you get your internet access in a caravan-are you reliant on wi-fi?No free lunch, and no free laptop

I use a mobile dongle when we are away in our caravan.0

A good couple of days money-wise. Sold a few bits out of my cabinet at a local antiques centre, had my 2nd payday for cleaning work and got a refund of the deposit we paid on the house we were renting before we moved into our caravan.
It's amazing that an overdraft that we have had up to the limit for years is already half paid off after less than a month in a caravan.
The heatwave is making life a little difficult, but a nice breeze is blowing in off the sea today so it is possible, if not easy to keep cool!Thank-you to everyone who posts comps :beer:0 -
I know it would probably be too cold and too hot and whatever but I still think it sounds BRILLIANT!
I even e mailed some places to see how it would work but as with everything it was a massive selling push so pointless.

Loving your diary, I lived and possibly will go back to living.... just ripped apart the last bits of lining, so inhabitable at the mo... On a narrowboat.. .. Still deciding whether to sell it or not as it comes with 17.500 pound worth of debt after buying it and doing it up ... hard to afford that kind of money...
Ps I am from Newquay but live in Lancashire, whereabouts are you in Cornwall.. I do miss the sea !!! even after 25 yrs...:)0 -

Not far from Newquay - Crantock side! I always quite fancied a narrowboat myself.Thank-you to everyone who posts comps :beer:0 -
I did an Antiques Fair on Saturday which went quite well so I have added that into my figures for paying off the overdraft and savings. I have decided to give up the cleaning job as now the holiday season has started properly they only want me on Saturdays which clashes with future fairs.
Thank goodness all the camping club people who are in our field right now will be leaving at the weekend and we will have the whole field to ourselves again. It has been getting so crowded that if I take the car to go shopping there is likely to be a tent pitched in my parking space by the time I get back! They are mostly a noisy, messy, inconsiderate lot with a few exceptions and I won't miss them.
The good news is that we have found some people with a holiday chalet nearby who want to let it out for the winter at a very cheap rent, so hopefully that will do for us from November until March when we can move back into the van again for another season of money saving.Thank-you to everyone who posts comps :beer:0 -
Crantock... Oh lovely .. I love to look across to Crantock from Pentire ... My parents live in St Columb Major as does my sis and my Uncle lives in Mawgan Porth.... You are making me home sick... !!!:o
Narrowboat is lovely and very peaceful, if you can live in a caravan you would have no problem on a narrowboat, actually more space probably
I hope the season is okay for you.. My BIL runs two cafes .. One on Tolcarne Beach and one on Watergate and he says so far the season has been dire... I really wish you luck in upping your income.. You are doing so well

We have been in the caravan for 1 month now! The time has flown and on the whole I am enjoying it. There are a couple of minor irritations - doing the laundry is a bit of a pain, there is a launderette on site but the machines aren't great and there is still a pile of boxes in the awning that I haven't got around to sorting yet as there isn't enough space to put everything I would like to keep close at hand.
Most of the campers have left our field now apart from a couple of stragglers, so we have our magnificent view back and it has started raining! Contrary to what you might think, I love the rain! The sound of it bouncing off the roof is soothing and it makes it feel so cosy - can make for some interesting trips to the showers and toilet though. Last night it was pouring and impossible to cook on the barbecue so we went out for fish & chips at a local pub - it was lovely!
I had my last proper payment for my cleaning job on Friday - there will still be 1 day to come next week but that will be the final one. I also received a payment from Google. Once upon a time I got a good payment from them every month for advertising on my websites, but now it takes me a year to reach their minimum payout of £60. I have added the payments into my totals.Thank-you to everyone who posts comps :beer:0
