You and grandpa Artha are pretty much the 'pipe and slippers' brigade these days, at least one of us oldies has to persuade the kiddies that we're not all 'Coffin Dodgers' and there is a bit of life left in us yet..:p:p

    Hi everyone,
Have been lurking for a while and enjoying all the posts.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned yet, but Clover is on offer in Sainsbobs at 2 for £3.

Had 2 vouchers today, so effectively got 2 packs for 50p each!

    Hope that may help someone:D

If I give you a flump will you stay:D

That is good news RN as I am yet another fan of your posts..:)

Talk about diversity, I'm about as diverse as they come!:p

By day a charming Glaswegian, happy to be nice and helpful, take part in idle banter and do test shops to ensure that all potential glitches are killed stone dead..;)

By night a grumpy old Scottish git who enjoys the occasional drinkie and can't help being a bit controversial at times.:whistle:

I just had a look at my stats and it seems that somehow nearly 40 posts of mine have been deleted (by me and the mods) and I have also had two warnings from the mods for my bad behaviour.

Sorry I'm doubting it. It's a "cheapest item free" promotion which, apparently, is the distinction now about when bogofs do/don't compare. If all items in the bogof are the same individual price at the competitor, it should compare. But if there are various prices and it's the 'cheapest one free' it's now, so I understand, treated as a promotion difficult for msm to compare and excluded from the PG.

    ...snip...

Thanks Savvy. I'll think to be safe, I'll wait until Thursday and then do a small shop which could compare to either Morries or T's.

The Fry's Cream never compared at 3p  Such a pity as that's one of my fave choc bars.

Hi - I wouldn't try this sort of thing anymore. I think there's now something in the msm APG system to stop items comparing to 2 and 3p elsewhere - probably if something is 'reduced' by a very very high percentage? That's I think why the Coke Zero 1.5l (vs T) and the Harpics (vs T) didn't work for me. If we get the 'standard half price' or 'better than half price' offers, they'll be compared to (once they hit the APG) but if it's 90% or 99% off, like we saw with T, I suspect the system's now programmed to return the last known price before it went to that (i.e. it'll return the full price). Again, unless you know/experience different.

Similarly, the other way, I think these 2ps and the like at A occasionally get picked up by msm.co.uk due to something operating in the background on a.com - but I doubt that'll be picked up by T or by Brand View (for Sains). Therefore I wouldn't expect that to work either. I see someone's spent £2 on Oral B paste at T only for it to return N/A (vs A). And you stand no hope, I feel, of getting that difference back, as T will hardly willingly take A to be 2p. There's things written into t&cs of the various price schemes to stop this. Sains also have a clause, which they have never yet had to invoke, about excluding obvious competitor price errors from BM. I gather the reason some of the Harpics failed to compare Sains (vs T at the time) though was because Sains has the weight on them but T don't and are therefore taken to be non-comparable. They're treated as not exactly the same size and flavour.

These are how t&cs appear to be being interpreted by the supermarkets. I'm not saying it is right or wrong.

(And I know the point about exact size and flavour is a pedantic point, but it is also how I tend to operate as FC will doubtless know too well.)
