morning, can i ask which parcel company eliters would reccomend.a friends mum passed away at the weekend up in glasgow and he`d like to bring things back as momentos but is on the train as he doesnt drive so larger items will be a issue.off to work in abit but would be grateful for any suggestions for when i catch up later.tia
so sorry for you loss tweets.

Try Parcels2Go online for a quote. I usually pick Hermes from their list about £5.00 for a 10kg parcel. Some people dont like Hermes but I find them brilliant. They are also on Quidco and i think Topcashback for new customers.

Sorry to hear about your friends mum :( It depends how much stuff you are talking about?
I use Hermes for parcels. They only carry up to 15kg though, as far as Im aware. I don't think I've ever sent anything larger.
I used a removal company when I was bringing back stuff from my Dads house in France. I had quite a few bits of furniture and stuff, a van load really and I got a few quotes. It wasn't that cheap but I didn't have much choice but to do it that way. If the house had been in the UK I'd have hired a van and did it myself.
How large are the items? Would a suitcase do?

thanks for replys,i dont think its large items like furniture but more lots of smaller to medium size stuff that could be boxed up and sent rather than stuggling on three trains with things.he`s not v.organised at the best of times and is still in state of shock at mo so just trying to give him some options.thanks

Argos, but they've run out for now. Suspect with the amount of toothbrushes they are giving away they are planning on keeping the cost of heads high. Bit like cheap printers and expensive ink, they have to make their money somewhere. That said, fairly sure these toothbrushes can't cost more than £10 to make.

    Good morning all.
Gardening for me today as I need to plant up the loads of plants I got bogof yesterday. It's also a chance to top up my tan while working in the sun.
Work tonight, hope it's not too busy.

Nanny, hope your hospital appointment goes well. It's always nervewracking.

    See you all later.
