DH wrote an inventory of my booze stash last night as he was complaining it is taking up too much room in 'his' garage :p (BTW, compared to most of yours, mine is pitiful)
He said if I know how much I have got it might stop me buying more.... :rotfl:
So i'll have great pleasure in telling him this evening that the case of Ginger Grouse I won has arrived :D Turns out the last case was broken in transit so the courier company didn't bother trying to deliver. You should see the amount of packaging this time :D

Sorry to hear about your friends mum :( It depends how much stuff you are talking about?
I use Hermes for parcels. They only carry up to 15kg though, as far as Im aware. I don't think I've ever sent anything larger.
I used a removal company when I was bringing back stuff from my Dads house in France. I had quite a few bits of furniture and stuff, a van load really and I got a few quotes. It wasn't that cheap but I didn't have much choice but to do it that way. If the house had been in the UK I'd have hired a van and did it myself.
