trying to run.

Vista is... Perhaps think about a clean install. Are you able to do these things, with instructions?
Though before going ahead, I would test the hardware with a Live file system(The TRY Ubuntu option on an Ubuntu DVD or USB drive) Then if WiFi works on that system, we can work to back up and reinstall.
There are other ways to do it, so as to look at what is running on your system. But a clean install will just speed things up in general.0 -

Maybe i should stop now & not try to do anything..... I am really showing my lack of knowledge:o
lack of funds and the posiblity of me moving is detering me from signing up with virgin again,
better the devil i know is why i have stayed with them for many many years, I did try to sign with sky a few months ago, but i sign up and found out most of what skyguy told me was lies, then the drama and lies to get out of it was worse than virgin.
i thought i could just work with a dongle til i figured out what my plans were, but since i cant sort out my wireless connection on laptop, then i cant get a dongle:(0 -
when I was between suppliers, I brought the pay and go dongle from T-mobile, (got mine from Argos), you can buy one at £10, then top that up monthly, £15 is a months worth of internet, or pay £30 and that gives you 3 months allowance, and you top up from there,
I use to have tmobile dongle on contract about 6 yrs ago, now just keep a dongle and as long top up every 6 months, covers me for when I go on hols, and take my netbook xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
