Dongles?

Options
Hello,
I would like some advice about dongles.
I have a virgin package that includes phone, broadband and tv for £45, contract has now come to an end and i can not afford it, i do not use phone, hardly watch the tv.
I am interested in getting a dongle
I am self employed and have a website that i sell my products,
I uploads prob 5 times a week not on internet for more than 20 mins, just wondering what the best dongle in gigs should i be looking at?
can dongles work for a small business?

I have a phone with internet access, that i can use to respond to questions and check everything is going smoothly

many thanks

    Depends on your location.
Apart from that, MiFi are more versatile and can be purchased relatively inexpensively.
So my earlier posts for suggestions.

    Not sure what MIfi is,
but doubt it would work with my laptop.
my wifi doesn't work on my laptop, virgin engineer said something was wrong with lap top, need to get it fixed, but prob be cheaper to get a new one? who knows?

If you want a cheap PAYG option, you can buy a dongle such as the T-MOBILE E3131 Pay As You Go Mobile Broadband Dongle for £9.99, unlock it for a Pound or so and use it with whatever works in your location.

Otherwise a 30 day contract with Three combined with purchasing via Quidco can throw up some attractive options.

You can get a MiFi for as little as £18.49 unlocked if you look through my earlier posts. They can also be used plugged in like a Dongle, so you get the best of both worlds.

If the budget is tight and you are a low user, you can use this THREE Ready to Go 3GB Preloaded Data Sim for £11.85. It will last for up to three months, dependent on your usage pattern. Once you've used it up, just buy another.
Once you have unlocked the Dongle/MiFi, you can enter the THREE connection information within(as well as the connection info for any data SIM that you choose).

Have you looked to your Device Manager to see what is reported there about your Wireless Card?

It will be listed under Network Adapters. Double clicking there should reveal two options. Double clicking on the Wireless option should give us more info on it's status.
