Instructions for using the spreadsheet - copied from January's thread:
Change the code words to this year's. Put the first part of the your priority reference into REF1 and the second part into REF2 and enter your email address at the bottom.
Decide which letter you want to start from, look in the list of words in the 'words' tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet (there are more than 5 thousand words so we don't all want to be starting with number 1 or it will take hours) and find which line the words beginning with that letter start. Go back to the 'data' tab and put the number of the line you want to start at in the Start at line field.
When the booking site opens, press button 1 on the spreadsheet.
EDIT: Button 1 uses an excel macro. You might need to enable macros first (then disable them again afterwards if you wish). It won't guess the word until the site opens, but you can check that it will work by pressing button 1 - it should open up the booking site in internet explorer but it can't go any further until the site opens up.52% tight0 -
would anyone like to share how to help with the code cracking? I have excel and a fast pc. the more people that help the faster we will crack the final code. anybody?0

thank you jellyhead can you tell me what will happen if it finds the correct code word? will it just stop or something?0

I can't get excel so I'm talking from memory from previous code cracking.
Go to the googledocs page and download the code cracker spreadsheet. Open it and disable marcros.
Put your information into the boxes, and the words for this promotion.
From memory I think there are 5454 words to check, and they are listed on a separate page, so you need to find the number you wish to start at, and put that in the 'start at line' box. Or just choose to start at 3 thousand, say. Press button 1.52% tight0 -
When it finds a possible answer the spreadsheet will stop working, and you get a message box that says 'it could be XXXX' I think. You'll know, because you will have been logged in to the sun page and can book your holiday52% tight0

what letters are taken? do we have a list who's doing what? we could do with getting organised on who's taking what letters? before the site opens.0

I don't think there's a list, but I've had visitors and haven't really been online. I may be able to do a letter manually, but I don't have excel so I can't do code cracking.52% tight0

If anyone lives/has relatives in London the Sunday papers usually come out late Saturday night ... Would love to help 'crack the code' but sounds far too complicated. Good luck everyone0

I can't code crack either, I'm on iPad. I can remember one year sitting up til 4am before site opened and someone has guessed the code word.0
