Vue cinema are fine with you taking in your own COLD food and drink. was told last week when kids went to see dispicable me 2 (great film btw)62;)0

Azari - I missed a bit out in my synopsis, to do with advertising.
There was this guy who was a keen theatre-goer.
He got loads of adverts banned, can't remember the details now (been to bed since and had a few glasses of wine :rotfl:).
He was pretty cool.0 -

I've just got round to watching episode 2 (about motoring) and it was even worse than the first programme.
Shock! horror!
The figures quoted in car brochures aren't what you'd get when driving?
No s**t, Sherlock!
Admittedly, some dealerships told prospective buyers that they would get those figures (naughty, naughty)
Someone pointed out that most drivers understand the difference between tests and real life driving and that those figures serve as comparisons between manufacturers.
Unfortunately, dim Nicky Campbell didn't seem to grasp that fact. :wall:
Kwikfit - apparently they try to upsell things that customers don't need during free inspections.
They were accused of cutting corners to meet targets but it didn't seem to be endemic within the company.
Kwikfit apparently disagreed with the show's expert's findings on 10 cars sent to them by the programme.
Carcraft - the price they advertise at isn't the price in the showroom - unless you print off a voucher and take it with you.
Here's a suggestion:
leave the Carcraft showroom and go home and print off the damn voucher. It's not rocket science, love.
They do say they do a 120 point check which is RAC accredited but it is the process (not the actual checks on every car) that is RAC accredited.
RAC actually do a random sample at each branch.
They had a consumer law expert who never came out and said any company was breaking the law.
She used words like 'potential breach' 'could be breaking the law'.
And so we come to parking.....
No new news here either.
Private parking companies make their 'invoices' look like the real thing and use words and terms to make you think you have to pay e.g. 'Legal Action Pending', 'Enforcement'.
Bimbo reported on a McD's car park that sent a fine notice to a woman who'd entered twice and left twice but the camera only picked up her 2nd entry and 1st exit.
The company said they would have cancelled the notice immediately if she'd got in touch.
I guess she ran to the Daily Fail instead to get her 15 minutes of fame.
Whoever thought that the brainless blonde bimbo was worth a bit part in this sad, sorry mess of an "investigative" programme needs sacking (as does the bimbo). She was cringe-worthy embarrassing.
She left a sign on a KFC carpark that read (sic):Warning, this restaurant does not open until 10:30, if you enter before you may recieve a parking ticket
I would have expected the word 'Warning' to have an exclamation mark after it.
And I certainly would have expected someone employed by the BBC to know how to spell 'receive'.
Sloppy, regurgitated dross.
And no magnifying glass required for small print either. :cool:0
