    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning!

Thank you Queenie! My friends oh said last night that it was great that she felt comfortable enough with me to release all those pent up emotions. Had another hug and tears last night but I guess it helps a bit. Still wish I could whip up a specialist that could sort all the complications out!
So pleased for you over the car! Hope you have many happy driving miles! (((hugs))) to ds11 hope he feels better soon.

Hope to be able to do some pottering in the garden today. The herbs are doing well. Must do a search to find out what I can do with them all.

    (((Hugs))) to Shez and PP

    Have a lovely day folks

    Catz x

    Morning everyone

Just typed a message and when I tried to preview it, it disappeared. Oh well, didn't have much of interest to say anyway.

Woke up with back-ache so trying to move around to get everything back where it should be. Washing has just finished so I will go and hang it out. Its a beautiful sunny day here so I will get out and make the best of it before the rain moves in overnight.

Have a sunny Saturday. (((hugs))) to those who need/want one. xx

    Good morning everyone!

Looks like we may get sunshine today! Dh has just nipped out to pick up some more sand and cement ( MS style of cause, a friend has ordered to much and said if he goes and bags it up we can have it!) Patio well on its way to being finished, i will get round to posting a pic soon i promise.

Tonight is my ds3 footy presentation night, i normally look forward to these nights but i am not so this year as with dh being assistant manager we have had alot of the planning to do, sorting the raffle ordering the tropheys ect, plus i know who has won most of the tropheys so takes the surprise element away. I am also worried as ds3 has won one of the special awards and even though it is one of the awards voted for by the parents i worried people will think its a fix with dh being assiatant manger, but we have kept the voting forms in case parents question it. Ds3 will be over the moon it has been very hard to keep paperwork ect out the way so he doesnt know.

On top of that cant decide what to wear, have a huge spot on my shoulder which rules out sleeveless stuff, an insect bite the size of a mountain on the back of my calf so no skirts, and then to top it off, iv looked in the mirror this morning and have a `bite mark`on my neck ( no idea how it got there:rolleyes: ;) ) i really hate them, anyone got any good ideas for covering it up it is only small!!

Shez "I cant take the kids though as its a 12A." i thought this ment kids under 12 can go but only if with a adult.?

Feeling really rough this morning and DD already being a pain in the !!!!!. OH & I have decided that the Disney channel is going as thats all she wants to do and dot know what other punishment we can use, as pocket money, no computer etc is not working! I really do need a break from her. ...

Sorry you're having a rough morning. On the "punishment" front ... if you think back to the days when you have xxx employee's, you'll remember than "incentives, rewards and bonus'" worked wonders to 'motivate, inspire' ;) On that basis (and managerial buzzwording  ), parent with a similar philosophy. :D

Rather than taking things *away* for things she *doesn't* do, establish a system whereby she is rewarded for the things she *does* do. For example, if she is permitted to watch DC anytime she fancies then of course she won't appreciate or value it. Sooooo, sit down with your OH, work out what your DD would value, feel motivated by. Then be clear about what you expect of her. When she meets those expectations she will be given her priviledges. Maybe that's one hour of DC in the evening? Who knows, that's up to you to decide. The core for success is consistency on your part ;) One other thing, if you don't establish something firm but fair now ... in another 2 yrs, you'll stand no chance!

catznine - just caught up with yesterdays thread. So sorry to hear about your friend, I think youre doing the best for her by letting her vent out - what a lovely friend you are to have x sometimes thats all we want to make things easier. When i hear things like that it makes me realise about not fretting about my lost job - cos its only a job (inconvenient timing) and im quite capable of getting another one! whereas your health etc is a different matter.

anniebooklover - Geneology full time - can you do that as a job? I just thought it as something people do as a hobbie.

churchmouse - Dont worry Im not that far - I shall have to stand on a chair and wave to you! actually now Im a lady of leisure - and when you have time away from yr Gym schedule! - maybe we could meet up sometime?

kyle - just wonder how the weight loss was going?
catowen - thanks for your kind words:A

PP - I think its a DD thing!!! I never got that with my DS but my DD (love her to bits) but can be a right pain! dont have disney channel got enough with cbeebies all day! :o
mrs mix - dont know where yr off to but have a nice day.
dlb - oo I dont know, i will have to check that out - thanks!

right I must get on now!!!

    Good morning everyone,

Up a bit earlier today, as friends DD is here, and didnt want to leave her with my 2 monkeys while i lazed around in bed!!! Think she has had a good nights sleep, which is good - she is off out this afternoon, and will be staying at a friends house tonight, so wont see her until tomorrow late morning. Had an email from her mum, saying thanks and also reminding her to do her revision, so this will be good practice for when i have to 'encourage' my 2 in a few years!!!

Received my 2 free cinema tickets in the post this morning, and very good news, we can see any film we like (doesnt have to be Shrek, unless we want to) and also had some money off vouchers too, which i always like to receive!!!

Not much planned for today, a bit of cleaning and maybe go and visit a friend - DS might be going to his friends to sleep over, but that hasnt really been deided yet - and i need to ring my friend to see if she still wants us to pop over. i have a bottle of wine, so we might walk and enjoy a drink, i would like to say in the sunshine but unfortunatly its very overcast at the moment, and looks like it could rain at any minute (on the way up from N9eavs by the sounds of it!)

Right, better get on - hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Shez just found this on bbc site.
Q What does the ‘12A’ mean in practice?
A Children under the age of 12 will be able to see a ‘12A’ film at the cinema if they are accompanied by a person of 18 years or over. The adult must watch the film with the child or children and not just pay for the ticket.

    I was unsure too.

    Morning all

Went to see POC3 last week. I loved it - you will enjoy it. Better than the 2nd one.

Queenie- enjoy the car. And take care of your toe.

Shez - sorry to hear about the job.

    hugs to others.

Going to clear up the back yard today. Need to get some geraniums and plant up some more pots. The agapanthus are coming on a treat, can't wait for them to flower.

I have developed a cunning plan for my stash of wool, I'm going to knit some bunting for the back yard. I reckon it should look nice and colourful while we're sitting out there. We eat out there pretty much all the time in th summer.

In fact, if it stays nice I think I might suggest a barbie to DH (means I don't have to do the cooking - apart from the salad)

take care all and have a lovely weekend.

    Morning All

Queenie - sorry about your toe (did have a snigger though)

Penny Pin - my DD is the same age as yours and at the moment she is generally horrible. This week has dragged and the thought of 6 weeks is really scary. Its not a nice age and I do know a lot of it is puberty but I still cant stand her at times. Roll on Monday.

Its lovely warm weather here in Essex. DD had a sleepover and kitchen is full of kids, hopefully they will be gone by the time Ive finished on here so will clean worktops & empty dishwasher. Also need to hoover landing and stairs and swish bathrooms. That will be it for today apart from emptying the washing basket and ironing.

DS has footie training this morning so will drop him off and nip down the shops. Think this afternoon we are planning to go for a bike ride or a walk somewhere different. Oh must remember have loads of birthday pressies to wrap.

Planning a barbeque tonight - cant wait.

    Have a great day.
