I put this link on the Freebies forum, but realise it may be just as much appreciated here. Lots of free programmes. http://www.artus-fh.co.uk/source/Freebies%20Page.html
This is my Family History site, but you're welcome to what's on offer.

That's great but you spelled "computer programs" wrong

In the context of computing, it's spelled "program", always, for both UK and US.
I'll cite the OED as my source, feel free to contradict me with a reliable source. "She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

No worries, was in pedantic mode. I only really get pedantic about things that I used to do incorrectly as well. I always thought it was "programme" no matter what the context until I learned otherwise and then I feel the overwhelming urge to "educate" people. Very bad habit I have.

Aaron. Thanks for the compliment. It's fairly straight forward using NVU. I used to sit there wishing I could build a website. Had to get stuck in! It should be fairly easy for you, as you are probably many years younger than me (72) my education certainly wasn't anything to shout about. On my home page there is a link to a free research site, top of the left-hand column. It's quite good.
Regards and good luck. If you need any more info, PM me.0 -
