He's right Orsen.
In UK we use 'program' with computers in deference to the Americans because they pioneered the subject.
Nice website though, and thanks for the free software.;)
Did the Americans really pioneer the subject? What about Charles Babbage and Ada Lovelace? It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
They certainly seem to have come up with the term; Weapons of Mass Destruction and applied it to the non existent.. :rolleyes:0

Well " programme " will always be " programme "
Well there's no such thing as a static language (I bet even Esperanto has to evolve). Because I'm so poor with my spelling and grammar I tend to use OED as my reference for what any "official" spelling should be, so I go by that. As I've mentioned I've probably picked up a few Americanisms anyway so I'm a contradiction of being pedantic and yet more "susceptible to American English"."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I don't know of any computer languages where I would have got away with using British spellings.

And we certainly followed suit and applied it ourselves."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Guess this is going quite off topic now but it always reminds me of some standup (can't remember who) that said America was like the big bully in the playground and Britain was like the scrawny little kid sidekick who shook his fist and shouted "yeah" from safely behind the bully. It was an image that stuck and seemed appropriate. Of course I'm only talking about the countries' governments and not the people."She is quite the oddball. I do find their udc [STRIKE]program[/STRIKE] application quite useful in searching for updates."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
