Hmm, last year I made 76% on Supergroup shares in about 2 months.
I've got a share at the moment that Im expecting to go up 5 fold.Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0 -

i never made that much from 'bagging, but i think i timed getting out reasonably well....other than cashing in Standard Life earlier than i should.0 -

i used to do a bit of school trading too...Bags of Crisps and Leather Wallets were a couple of hussles.
currently have Axa Framlington Biotechnology up over 60% in my SIPP. this is one i plan to keep adding to, and holding, for the long term.0 -
I've never had a lot of spare cash to make money from, but the best investment I made was going back to do a masters about 7 years ago. Not particularly for the actual content of the course, although some of that is still useful and it definitely changed the way my mind works and the way I think about things, but it meant I got on a graduate programme with an IT company and had a lot more opportunity to pick up more skills over the last 6 years.
So for £15k in costs/lost earnings for 6 months, I've earned about £40k more over 6 years than I probably would have if I'd kept on the same career path.0 -
