that's not bad really. so your daughter can get whatsapp on the bbm? Do you have to be in a wifi area to whatsapp or does it just go through the bbm. I am really thick when it comes to this bbm!

It goes through BB Internet service.

It's a good deal. But bear in mind the £20 for 6 months is only saving you £10. And you still have to top up to make calls/texts. So it's not the best deal in the world. Especially if your daughter plans to text/call a lot. If she's a very low user then it's better than what other networks can do.

I agree, if my daughter needed a calls allowance on her blackberry I would be looking around at another tariff for her.
I have free minutes on my phone, so if she needs to call me she does, and I call her straight back, using my free minutes, and saving her phone credit. Her Dad does the same thing.

Don't do it. We are counting the days to the end of our contracts. Awful phones, unless you like looking at the blackberry equivalent of the windows egg timer.

They freeze regularly which means battery out and restart. The battery lasts less than a day, even if you don't use the phone!

    not round here, unfortunately.

yep, my daughter's phone occasionally freezes, but she does get a whole day's use out of it (and she uses it a lot) then pops it on charge at night when she goes to bed.

My son has a blackberry on Tesco mobile, he got the blackberry handset for free, he is on a 2 year contract, he gets 750 mins, 2000 texts, 500mb internet and bbm for free for £20.00 a month. hth.

We didn't want him to have one, everyone said they were rubbish, but yes all of his friends at high school have them.
