How about a sinclair c5? Very cheap to run. Good run about to get her to work and back. What's more it's a convertible!

Those things are collectors items now! What with all the street crime about, I wouldn't want to leave it parked on a street...perhaps a steering wheel lock could be fitted! :rotfl:Lack of money is the root of all evil.

Well its very underpowered (0-60 in 17.5 seconds) and the MPG isn't very good (10% less than Japanese models), its also more expensive than many NEW cars and reliability is a known problem for those engines. But if the wife wants it, then go for it
