Evening all,
Raced home, emptied DW made dinner now flopped on sofa.
Made a chicken and butternut squash and coconut curry and it was really yummy, even the kids liked it - bonus. And all from cupboard and freezer stashes.
Hope the poorlies are feeling a bit more comfortable tonight, and those little ones are So sweet - And I don,t really do kids..
Can,t remember who said they are heading my way in 6 weeks, but i,ve booked some sunshine and polished the grass
We have had huge vets bills in the last few months, lost 3 fur babies in past 6 months, all of old age, just left with Eric and Ernie our year old puddy tats - and we pay £20 pm for the 2 of them but that covers all their shots and flee treatments as well as 2 checkups a year - expensive, but at least it spreads the cost.
Right this won,t do - off to clean the kitchen, and maybe hunt out a glass of vinoNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Evening all!
Busy expensive day here, went into city centre for my eye test with DD, ordered 2 new pairs of varifocals, one pair are sunglasses, got her staff double the discount and they still cost over £400, although for top of the range thin varifocal lenses and designer frames this was really cheap. Took her for lunch, then we bought a basket full of stuff from Clinique and other similar counters on Bo*ts, and encouraged by martins weekly e-mail, trooped off to Frazers then to the Mulberry shop to salivate over the handbag I have wanted for years..................guess what I bought? It was on sale, but holy crud, what a fortune! Of course DD encouraged me all the way, largely because she has been saving dribs and drabs for years as she insists she will have a Chanel handbag before she pops her clogs!!!!I have probably spent nearly enough money to feed me for the year, and although I am stunned that I did so I figure what the heck, if life has taught me one thing this year it's been to grab what you want with both hands cos you never know when it will be taken away from you!...now, off to see which of my pradamark and supermarket outfits match my bag.....;)RIP Iain

Evening all,
At last feeling human....so goood after 2 weeks of misery....am about to make some gooseberry and elderflower jam, just a small amount as I know longer use more than a pound of jam a day, as used to be when all my brood were at home.
Its been a lovely day here, OH and I did some shopping this am....then picked some gooseberries and am going to brother's for a chat, don't get to see him all that often nowadays for some reason.
Dinner was a use-up of bacon, beans and last 2 eggs which have been here for a bit, means that eggs I bought to-day will be good for a while....can't be bothered with all this date business.
LW....hope that things improve a bit for you, constant pain is so soul destroying....healing vibes on their way.
Halight....saw your girls on fb....they are so lovely, the next time you turn round they will be 20....sorry.
Not sure how many of you have had the honour to meet jackieG...cherish the memory as you have been in the presence of a beautiful soul.
Just realised that in all my shopping to-day I bought no bread, so will throw a loaf in the oven and it will be nice and fresh with my jam for breakfast....visiting my own doc to-morrow to have kidneys and blood pressure checked so will need sustenance before I go!
Sleep well and stay safe everybody.

Busy busy busy at the moment with work, my cleaning job, my painting plus the other daily stuff we have to do.
I hope you're all keeping well xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Someone suggested I come read the daily. I had already done my lurking for the day, but came over anyway. Marie that's the loveliest thing anyone has ever said about me. Not sure if I am worthy of it, but thank you. Its my turn to cry tonight. You hold a special place in my heart, too. xxxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Hi there, 'tis I and my tribe who are coming to the Island in August for our annual holiday. My late OH was a 'caulkhead' from Northwood and my children spent so much time there they are almost 'onnery islanders' we go almost every year and can't find a place to beat it.
My DDs four boys love the freedom and the beautufl beaches and fishing I like the quieter way of life and just pottering around either Cowes High Street or at a push Newport, although that's got very busy the past few years, but lots to do and the walks are wonderful, with a large cornet at the end of them of course Minghella's can't be beaten.
Well my builder started this morning and will be finished this Friday and my new carpet will be laid a week tomorrow so its all exciting stuff going on at JackieO's Towers this week.
Eldest DD had her stitches out from her lumpy leg this morning, and I went to the dentist for a check up and polish Yay no problems at all. Then I went to knitting club and had a good knit and natter.Tonight I stayed to dinner at youngest DDs which was very nice as she has just been promoted.Tomorrow we are both off to Wembley so its going to be a long day but well worth it to see Mr Robbie Williams strut his stuff:)
Right I'm off up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire
Good night, God Bless all here
