    The government seem to think all families earn £100k a year like they do. They forget the majority are on minimum wage and probably work harder than they do - low earning families deserve a holiday as well and so do their kids.

    So now only the rich kids go on holiday and the poor don't get one. Making the them and us gap even wider.

    Yes, they do, my LEA issued 250 penalty notices last year.

    but how many would be enforceable if the parents refused to pay and it went to court?

    Apparently payment rates of these in some areas is non existent.

    What are you going to do with your kids when the teachers take time off in term time for cheaper holidays?

    take time off work and look after them at home like we do when there are training days or the teachers are on strike

    My wife has taught full time for over thirty years , she has NEVER been on strike.
    Not all teachers belong to the left wing NUT.
