Thanks, might have a look that way too, but not as handy for getting to Heckmondwike.0

It's worth looking into how much you will go into Leeds for night out, etc.
I used to live in woodhouse a few years ago and to get out of the City up to the M62 wasn't a problem most days (you just need to learn a good route)0 -
With a 2 year old, not that often.
As long as we are on a train/bus route, we can still go for a night out and head back at a reasonable time. Will definitely include Pudsey in our search.0 -
Another area... Hanging Heaton?
Thanks0 -

Hi, if this is helpful for you to know - we live in Heckmondwike and commute to Leeds each day by car, which is about 30-35 mins drive.
There is no train station in Heckmondwike, nearest stations (that go to Leeds) are Batley and Dewsbury (only about 11-17 mins to get to Leeds).
Buses from Heckmondwike Green (main high street) to Leeds Bus station take about 1 hour 20mins.
I hope those nuggets of info are helpful to you, but shout if you want any other info.0 -
Pudsey is A LOT nicer than Morley. Especially Farsley, Calverley and Rodley (which all fall under Pudsey).
I would avoid South Leeds if it were me, especially Beeston. But hey, that's just my opinion.0
