    Not too bad thank you.

The bleeding is much better now, I think the pill is taking over, i've been able to avoid tampons for just over a day and I feel so much better for it.

I have to go back to the doctors next week to get my swab and ultrasound results but I am sure they will be fine. I've noticed also now the bleeding is getting better I've dropped 5lbs this week! :T Maybe from the water retention?

I've had a couple of 'episodes' over the last few days, One where I nearly collapsed on Saturday and yesterday where I did. I've also been feeling really odd for a few weeks and although I am grossly overweight I've been dizzy tired from going up the stairs and finding walking difficult sometimes. I've lost 6 stone since November and I feel more tired now from just walking than I ever did at that weight! I am not sure if it is connected to the bleeding or not but after yet another doctors appointment today i'm also on antibiotics and booked in for a host of blood tests and an ECG asap.

I don't feel too bad today though and feel much less bloated than I have in ages now the bleeding is subsiding :j

Once the bleeding has stopped I am going to have the merina(sp) coil put it and see if that keeps it at bay, plus will give me long term contraception without having to think about it so a winning situation for me!

Thank you so much to everyone who has been so kind it has meant a lot to me.

Hope you get to the bottom of this and your health improves. Anaemia makes you feel dizzy so check your red platelets' levels at the doc if you can. Mine was 105,000 in May and the range is 150,000 - 400,000 so I'm below the minimum but I feel better (not so dizzy and tired) after taking iron for a month - I haven't been tested again yet.

You sound like me built for comfort and not for speed, - its just a thought when there doing all the blood tests ask if they are testing you for diabetics, - might not relate to the bleeding, but the tiredness.

That sounds like a major breakthrough all ready, I have the miranda, and can't fault it, my GP put mine in while I was bleeding, (i wasn't passing clots) just pouring for England. xx

Just thought I'd update the 'journey' so far!

I am still bleeding though not as heavy and I am on transamic acid in 4 day cycles. All my swabs and bloods came back clear so it's not an STI (thank goodness!) next step is a hysteroscopy. The doctor didn't explain what it was other than saying it 'hopefully to rule out nasty things' so I've done the silly thing and googled the procedure and am now panicking.

I have abuse in my past and anything that is uncomfortable in that area throws me into a right state. Rationally I know that is daft.

Have to wait and see the results of the procedure before going any further with the coil.

Hi there - I had a hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic and it was fine. Yes it can be used to detect a range of things (with me they were looking for endometriosis) but the positive thing is that nothing else has been identified so hopefully it'll be just an exercise in ruling out other issues. Good luck

    Another update.

I had the hysteroscopy on Thursday under general. My bleeding did stop for a bit then it started again, then it stopped again...

They have done a biopsy which they weren't originally planning on doing and there have been high levels of protien in my urine for a while that anti biotics aren't doing anything about. I'm also not pregnant etcbp they've tested it supposedly but I've not heard anything and the doc didn't mention it when I went in for the procedure so I am assuming its nothing serious.

I pick up the biopsy results on the 24th and they put the mirena coil in whilst I was under as well so fingers crossed I'm sorted!

Hi firstly can I say how sorry I am that you've been suffering so much.

Secondly, as a Mum, can I beg you to if the doctor doesn't mention something, ASK about it? Please don't be intimidated by "white coats" but remember it's your body - if they don't tell you "we're looking to rule out XYZ" and you know you'll google it when you get home, (I do too!) then get them to tell you.

Don't assume - get the facts from them. If you need to, write a list of your ongoing symptoms, treatment etc so far, and if you don't understand what they mean or what they expect to happen ask, ask, ask until you do understand. Keep the list in your hand so you don't get home and think "I should have asked that"

    Please don't think I'm nagging! :)
