Just read through as my friend has had similar issues recently
She had a scan too and they were able to give her some information immediately, especially what it wasn't!! Hopefully this will be the same for you
Good luck for today0 -

3 and half hours to go now and i'm blooming hungry haha! Just had an ice lolly to try and help. I rung the about the results from my swabs and they have them back but won't give me them over the phone, I have to wait until after the ultrasound and go and see the doctor when the results for the scan are back as well.
How frustrating, I don't see why they can't just let me know if they were alright so it's one less thing to think about.0 -

O gosh, can I sympathise with you, thinking of you today, hope everything goes ok, big hugs and will look at the thread later to see how you got on today xx
not sure what type of scan you are having but one of mine was this guy (consultant at a GP practice) coming towards with a light sabre type thing (think Star Wars) which he inserted and then found fibroids, lots of them, I was then told I had an enormous womb and that was why I was bleeding so much.
One day I was walking around Boots and a lady tapped me on the shoudler to say I was leaving a trail, the blood had soaked down my brand new black jeans and was actually overflowing my shoes  oh the embarrassment. Another time, I ended up in A&E because of the blood loss but nobody ever seemed as bothered as me, even though it led to anemia and I was about 11 points from having a blood transfusion???
I have now been done, everything out, however you are far too young for that. I did have the mirena and it made no difference to me, and actually came out without me knowing
probably within one of the enormous blood clots I used to suffer, sorry guys TMI. I never felt I was being taken seriously, but it really does impact on your life and nobody who doesn't suffer understands.
Some days it was truly easier just to sit in the bath and let it drain away. Another embarrassing time when they did eventually investigate, I was sat on this examination chair , legs akimobo in stirrups, then they moved it upwards in the air, about four foot so that my bits are now at eye level with the consultant..........then the consultant , a man, comes in dressed in wellington boots and a plastic white overcoat and mask and goggles, seriously! and proceeds to fill my bits up with water, (they were measuring my womb area?) and then when you are done you kind of squeeze and everything drains out in to a bucket
:o, not painful just embarrassing, but in the end I did laugh, mostly because my husband who is a wimp fainted while I am stuck up in the air legs akimbo saying hello hello what about me as they tended to him ! You gotta laugh.
Anyway, wishing you luck for today and if it is anything like the above, been there and done it :rotfl:big hugs xxx0 -
