Sky

How annoying are sky??

Have spent almost 4 hours now TRYING to join up (aka signing at least £21 a month to them for at least a year) on the phone - which I'll add is always an 0870 number!!

Also nobody there has the ability to transfer calls it seems - to speak to a different department there means you have to call another 0870 number and then go through the 3 minutes of options!

Jeeeesus I've never come across a company so unwilling to get a sale!

Rants are so helpful. (to the ranter, not necessarily the rantee!!)

Sadly I can't as I live in a block of 40 apartments and they can't deal with it online - Shame as I had my eye on £55 worth of Quidco cashback and the £10 sky incentive for joining online! :(

What a shame. I have found their phone lines to be quite helpful but there are a lot of people that have problems with them.

Another number here that might get you to the right department. Still 0870 unfortunatley.

When I joined upto Sky back in January I rang the Freesat number and said I couldnt decided between teh two and they gave me a really good deal to go with Sky and pay monthly rather than go with them and pay one off payment.

i deal with them every so often (1-2 times/month) as a retailer, and really havent generally dealt with a nicer call centre. Yes, mistakes happen, and at bust times queues can be long, but operators are pleasant and speak clearly in english which is also important.

I think that's where the problem lies - the staff are great; I haven't spoken to a bad one yet BUT it's a case of they can only work with what they have - they're limited by the rubbish system they're given to work with!
