  • SO we had a DD who was early, I had an emergency C sec and she spent 5 days in NICU and I can honestly say we have never been more worried.

  • Congratulations - it's an amazing time (even if it doesn't quite go to plan) our second wasn't breathing when he came out and went straight up to SCUBU tubed although he started trying to breath for himself in the lift - I needed extensive putting back together so it was the longest 3 hours of our lives before we finally got to go and spend time with him. For us the worries and fears of that receded pretty quickly to be replaced with the far more mundane worries and fears that beset every new parent. Here's hoping she doesn't give you any more worries for a while.

ok - you're not happy and its a bit late for a termination. Adoption then?

Did you get all angry at that? or not, and it made you wonder?
that should give you some insight. if you got angry, then your maternal instinct kicked in and you are ready to be a mum.
if, however, you really focused on 'adoption', perhaps you still haven't come to terms with being pregnant, never mind being a parent! and should think very carefully about your options. mind you, a friend of mine always claimed she hated kids and was never going to have one as her and her OH had a great life. oh dear, she became pregnant and wouldn't terminate. then her and her OH fell in love with this baby she was going to have adopted...........who is now the light of their life! and thirteen years later is a little star who is loved by everyone who knows her - and her parents adore her!

Congratulations! Hope she's out of hospital and home with you now.
