Hi, I sent something to someone on 17/06 that hasn't arrived yet. 2nd class. proof of postage only. I'm posting her another now as she wants before next week, but how best to sort out the technicalities?
Should I get her to 'buy' another and I can alter amount to.. whatever works, or just ignore this extra service, or.. what..? Obviously I don't want her leaving FB on the one she bought or I won't be able to claim my loss back...?
Not had this before, so appreciate advice. Not huge value so that's not a big issue: though would like to recoup loss.
 Thanks
As campdave. Just send a replacement.
She can leave feedback regardless. Feedback has nothing to do with claiming for loss.
I am not sure why you think she is getting an 'extra service'? She hasn't had what she has paid for yet.0

Well the 'extra service' is that I've sent her another item which from my point of view hasn't been paid for, in the hope that she will be happy and RM will reimburse me. It's not my fault RM lost it...
But, as with anything in life, it depends which side of the fence you're sitting on.
I guess you just can't word something carefully enough to suit everyone. Someone will always find fault with the way you put it
Btw as indicated in OP I've posted another 0 0

But it is not her fault that RM haven't delivered it either, so why do you expect her to be out of pocket when it is you who has the contract with RM to deliver it and you who will be making the claim from them? As the seller it is your responsibility to either get it to her or issue a refund. Expecting her to pay a second time is ludicrous.0

Of course it's not her fault either, and I wouldn't wish her to be out of pocket. I was simply wondering how it works, since it hasn't happened to me before. I thought we might have to do a second sale and I could alter the invoice to 1p, or do like alx said, or something.. I don't know.. what's why I was asking
I got the answers I was after in the first few posts anyway, so thanks campdave and starrybee I posted 1st class so the buyer got her replacement in time for what she wanted it for and is happy. I just need to claim when I'm able: another first for me. I'm just glad I happened to have more of the item, which isn't usually the case. 0 I posted 1st class so the buyer got her replacement in time for what she wanted it for and is happy.
