Missing in post..

Hi, I sent something to someone on 17/06 that hasn't arrived yet. 2nd class. proof of postage only. I'm posting her another now as she wants before next week, but how best to sort out the technicalities?

Should I get her to 'buy' another and I can alter amount to.. whatever works, or just ignore this extra service, or.. what..? Obviously I don't want her leaving FB on the one she bought or I won't be able to claim my loss back...?

Not had this before, so appreciate advice. Not huge value so that's not a big issue: though would like to recoup loss.

Thanks

I would refund her for the lost item, then you can make a claim for that loss with your POP. And send her a cancel transaction request so that you get your FVF back.
Treat the new transaction as a separate one and ask her to check out again...

Just post another and make a claim with Royal mail once 15 working days has passed from posting. Getting them to order another through ebay makes no sense.

Yes, do this, anything else is just making things overly complicated.

I've had a lot of stuff go missing this month. Strange.

Can you make a claim for a lost item without sending RM a copy of the Paypal refund to the buyer?

My claims have consisted of POP, ebay sale record and PayPal payment page. However, I've always replaced items rather than refunding.

I have had my first one today for about 5 months- buyer went straight to a case as well (and I don't think it was a mistake as I am aware of the opening case issue)

I have had 4 items sent via Airmail small packets that have failed to arrive in the last couple of months. Last year in over 700 sales with about 40 going abroad I didn't have one go missing. Am wondering whether to stop selling abroad.

Ive gone a year with nothing missing.

This followed a year of nothing arriving :rotfl:

No doubt i am due a run of INR's

That said - i use signed for and collect+ a lot - proof that most items do actually arrive.
