So, now we're saying it's not necessarily about the sale of beer but how the parents might act after drinking it?

No.. that is just a follow on addition in the name of conversation...
..but the consequences of selling alcohol has to be taken into account too, otherwise no one would have any conscience about selling to people who are already obviously paralytic.. and it is actually illegal to sell alcohol to people who are already drunk... at the discretion of the vendor. (section 141 of the 2005 licensing act) nor would it be an offence to drive under the influence.
It isn't even as if it would a be a nice cool refreshing drink is it? Which is why squash or just plain water would be better all round .. suitable for the children, the drivers and the reputation of the school.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I often wonder how much money could be saved if the police focussed on enforcing this law, rather than breaking up the resulting drunken brawls etc...0 -

If someone tried to sell me squash, I'd tell them where to stick it - I'm a grown up, not a 10 year old!0 -

I was really surprised when there was a thread about squash on here recently - I had no idea that adults actually chose to drink the stuff!0 -

I do sometimes...Sometimes I want a drink but don't feel like plain water...squash is a much cheaper alternative than keeping soft drinks in the house...0 -

I don't drink soft drinks either - I've always thought they were for children as well.
(I must be turning into my dad, who often said "there's plenty of water in the tap!" except he'd be turning in his grave if he could see the amount of Badoit and San Pellegrino I get through.:o)0
