Money, I am only going by my experience and others I have read on other web site forums as well as these similar to the OP on this forum. I was made an offer and accepted and got additional good will gesture in a form of a cheque after complaining to the CEO of my Bank and others as well under the Bank digression ( so not making this up ). Just have to wait and see when the OP gets a response from Barclays. Whatever we think its only the opinion of other posters on this forum.

He hasn't had his complaint upheld though....so your experience isn't going to help him.

Fair enough, but like I said earlier the OP should of contacted the CEO first before going to the FOS. He sent e-mail yesterday so that's done.

Yes, he sent the E-Mail after you (wrongly) advised him to, based on your own (irrelevant) experience.

Regardless, he'll find out soon enough that even the CEO's office can do nothing for him in this instance..

it's not possible for the complainant to chase the Bank up
    No, but the CEO can.

If this were the case, then surely the advice on here should be to contact the Bank's CEO for every delayed FOS referral?

Why not, it worked for me and countless others. Don't always have to wait for the FOS to get there finger out.:money:

    Hi all

sorry - I really didn't want it to get all agro, by the way I am a she, not a he who obviously has not made my question clear so sorry for the confusion.
My beef is this- I've been waiting nearly two years with little communication from either Barclays (apart from them saying I've never had a loan with them) or the FOS and I've continued to update both with any information as it has come to light, loan agreements/bank statements etc. For the FOS to have been waiting a YEAR for Barclays to send them some info they requested is a joke so, yer, I want to get involved and was simply asking if anyone has done this and would it help?
Well, I did email the CEO and he emailed me back and left a voicemail today, too late though for me to call him back.
At least now someone is finally taking me serious.
thanks for taking the time to reply, regards and good luck with yours......I'll let you know what happens.

Well done Oxalis, I told you they would respond quickly and I think you should of done this months ago. Customer service at Barclays and others are a bunch of PLEBS who don't communicate with each other. I e-mailed Barclays a few weeks ago and they responded to my query on the spot ( don't even need to wait for FOS to do anything ).
