Hi all! Just a quickie as LO is due up from his nap any time now.

I'm back to work this week following maternity  that really flew!

Bit of a blow yesterday Re: professional indemnity fees... as the nature of my work will be changing, they will be going from £96 for the year to £141 A MONTH in August... so thats going to cut into our monthly income a lot. Not sure how much of it I can claim back from August. Bit gutted on that one really, as if I'd known I'd have made efforts to save the lump sum, but now its having to be paid monthly. Grr.

Resources new work trousers from my maternity clothes... they were hardly worn and dont at all look like maternity trousers (plus they're comfy!) so they will do me for now.

Oops, LO is up! Will pop back in later xx

Flipping heck, Kola, those rocketing professional fees are a tad mindblowing! What an absolute pain :( I'd be likewise pretty miffed if I didn't have much time to save for them.
a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library

Gosh! That is an extortionate increase! Don't have any expertise with this myself, but that seems crazy - do they have any justification for this?
