Looks like its needing replaced  guy coming in the next hour for a quote, hopefully it's not too bad but we don't really have a choice but to get it done, so I'm not going to worry too much about it!
Took my frustrations out on some of the overgrown front garden bushes, so at least it's looking a bit neater out there... unfortunately our back garden is ginormous and in a similar state so god knows when we're going to get that started! Probably next spring.
Out for a wee drink tonight with the girls so that'll be niceWill let you know what the guy quotes...

Quite a spendy day all round. Too much to list but included a lovely new coat for my birthdayits like wearing a duvet out lol, very happy!
Sitting down to crochet LO a little jumper. I started it yesterday but have had to start again as yesterdays effort (the 18 month size) was going to be too small. Doing the age 2 size now. He's a big lad lol.

Hello again all!
And hiya to katykicker, thanks for reading
Sorry its been a while, we've just been cracking on with the DIY really. Funny how you can work so hard and make such slow progress! Utility room is finished apart from putting up the madeover drawer fronts, and I must say its looking rather nice out there.
Spent the weekend stripping the 90s wallpaper from the dining room and painting it. Still have the ceiling to do, but we had gotten so behind on the housework I had to have a catch up day today!
OH has sanded my beautiful farmhouse style solid oak 2nd hand dining table - so I'll be pulling out the chalk paint this weekend to redo the legs
Then its onto the spare bedroom!
Money seems to be slipping through our fingers at quite a pace at the moment, which is a little scary.
Good news is my aunt is replacing her beautiful solid wood fire place (not entirely sure why, I think shes just redecorating) and its being donated to the cause :T Goodbye 70s asymmetrical tiled monstrosity!
Still no car bill, but OHs car went on to fail its MOT and we had to have the brakes redone, which was partially covered by guarantee but still ended up costing £100 extra
I've contacted payroll and apparently I will definitely start getting paid again in december... not going to hold my breath but it would be nice!
So for now we're ploughing on with bits of the house we can do with little expense... the big stuff will have to wait.
Making a few financial plans as I suspect we'll need to replace at least one of the cars next year.

beautiful solid wood fire place
That sounds gorgeous. Can't wait until I have a house that that would suit!
Sounds like you are making good progress and it's all coming along nicely.
When we moved in, we had a sparkly pink tiled fireplace and that was the first thing that got sledge-hammered! :rotfl:M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0
