We have an LG one too and it's fab - had a couple of hiccups in the beginning, however the service from LG was great.

    It was this model:

We have a black Electrolux one, so far very good - bit concerned about how much leccy they use tho as I imagine all the cold air comes out each time you open the door?
    I think....

We think it'll be http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=391190 for us this time.

We want black appliances to go with gloss white units.

LG have by far, the smoothest paint finishes on their doors. Would have liked Whirpool, or even Samsung again, but no comparison to the smooth n shiny look of this one.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have an Admiral fridge-freezer, much deeper than the British versions of American style. Excellent.

getting this delivered on saturday and it would just about fit through the front door and will then have to be turned (0degreese to get through my kitchen door.
I was wondering if the fridge door or at least the handles come off as those couple of inches might be the difference between getting in or sending it back.

I just had the same one delivered today by comet. They needed to come through two fairly standard doors but had to remove the LG doors (A relatively simple process) in order to get it into the house. Then they put it back together again with no problems.

Incidentally Comet give a 1 yrs warranty with it and offer to extend that to 3yrs for £135.
The paperwork that comes with the Fridge/freezer says that LG gives it a 2yrs warranty which can be extended to 5yrs for £120.

I may well take up the LG offer!

  • Just had minde delivered today by empire direct.
They didn't need to take the doors off at the end.
The fridge with doors and handles was about 2 inches wider than my inner front door but the handles are flexible so bent when sliding it through.
unfortunately, they were a bit carless going through the outer UPVC door and cracked the bottom sill.

I have made a note and will get them to fix it or pay for a replacement (it is a thinn piece of aluminium and will be easy to replace.

Fridge is in the kitchen but i will not be able to use it for at least a week as the workmen only started about two days ago and have only got as far as gutting the old kitchen, put in the replacement piping and sanded the walls\ceilling.
I have wanted an AFF for about 10 years now and now i have one, i am chuffed.
Thanks all for the advice and i will post feedback in due course.
