When we had our new kitchen we planned it round the AFF and i am so glad we had it. I find the freezer is just about right and have lots of room the fridge is great and food keeps fresher longer. When my little boy was on bottles it was great as there was loads of door space.
I love drinking water especially when it is cold and i drink loads and loads even the cats get filtered water lol.

A very important thing to think about is space.
Don't just look at your kitchen and say that there is enough space in there, look at the route into the kitchen and make sure that there is plenty of room to manoeuvre. You would be amazed how many times I turn up to deliver a yankee and have to take it away as it just won't go through the angles into the kitchen
Yeah good advice...we had a nightmare getting ours in!! delivery men not too happy£900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x0 -
Thank you everyone for your replies !
I shall report back once we have been to see a few and hopefully picked one.

we have an american style samsung but, after originally wanting the water dispenser type, went instead for the one without the dispenser. The reason for this was that there is much more room in the freezer if you do not go for that particular model. It is amazing how much the dispenser unit cuts into your actual freezer space. Also, our is pretty quiet. overall, we are extremely pleased with it.
I SPOKE TO SOON!!! Its broken down!
Just outside the warranty and Samsung have been extremely unhelpful.0 -
& do check how low the Whirlpool models are being priced at now, but make sure you're happy with the way the ice dispenser is on their ones - looks fidly to me!
Don't be tempted by Whirlpool's low prices. You get what you pay for.
From a very digruntled owner of a Whirlpool American fridge/freezer. :mad:0 -
I read on another thread that there have been problems with some of the Samsung's.
I have just ordered this one http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/content/products/details/index~modelcode~LGE-GRL207TUJA.htm (But from Comet).
It gets a good write-up in which magazine and if you join EmpireDirect's edXtracard club for £29.99 it extends your guarantee to 3yrs (That would have cost me about £150 at Comet)
I think its a pretty good deal.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -
We were looking at AFF but really needed more freezer space so went for seperate Fridge and Freezer from John Lewis £500 each and with free delivery and 5 years warranty. And they are mahoosive!0

Cheers, I will order from Empire direct.
Are there any promo\discount codes available?0 -
I bought a Whirlpool American fridge freezer in 2002. Since then it has had around 10 warranty callouts. When it is actually working it is fantastic - completely frost free, ice compartment in the door, in-built water filter etc. Wouldn't buy another one though, so when the 8 year parts guarantee expires it will be relegate to the garage as my beer fridge

We have an LG one. good all round, good ice-maker/crusher/water thingy. very quiet. Had for two yrs and no problems at all. think it was about £600!!!!
