Good MSE day today! Got my car insurance renewal through from Direct Line, £260 for another year with them and when I called after looking at cheaper quotes they could only reduce it to £245. So I've switched to Aviva, £205 for the year (!) plus £80 cashback because I went through Quidco. Whoop!
Big food shop tomorrow. Going to buy a load of (free range) chicken thighs & have them with veggies for the week. Tres healthy after basically binging every night for the past week or soDamn, delicious Maltesers!

Cous cous is cooking on the hob and the chicken is ready to go in! So I'm healthy tonight but yesterday we had pizza. Why can't I resist? Will power? Where are you?!
On the money front, I'm doing well. This month was always going to be horrendous. I'm just a week away from payday now with £200 in the bank. Feeling quite proud of myself And it has proven that I can survive on a fairly modest amount. :money:
HOWEVER, I will never shop in Morrisons or Asda again. Tried out both in order to be thrifty. All branded things are fine from both BUT the fresh veg & fruit are appalling. All going mouldy or brown a day after purchase. I'm stick with Mr S@insburys & the occasional treat at Mrs WaitRose. I might be clawing my way back from Debtshire but I still want good food in my belly!
The end is in sight...and I have many plans my debt payment money! The first being the new car & the second being a trip to Disneyworld. If anything can motivate me, it's a holiday!! :beer:CC1 - [STRIKE]£8746[/STRIKE] £2801 71%LBM September 2012 - Current DFD Oct 14

Pay day
Payments just sent over to the CC! Meaning, I'm in the 3000s! Yey!
And I survived a very tight month. Went to Mr Sains last night and stocked up ALL the cupboards. £73 down but we'll be alright for food for a couple of weeks bar fresh veg & meatCC1 - [STRIKE]£8746[/STRIKE] £2801 71%LBM September 2012 - Current DFD Oct 14

Two paydays later and it's 65% paid off - horrah! It would be better but I ended up buying an iPad Mini. Yes, I'm a terrible person but I blooming love it!
I was well behaved this Christmas (£170) and spent a modest amount in comparison to last year (£500 at least!). Debt free date is now May. Cannie come soon enough! My car is on it's last legs & I need a new one pronto!CC1 - [STRIKE]£8746[/STRIKE] £2801 71%LBM September 2012 - Current DFD Oct 14

It's been a while... So I got a new car! Very low interest loan, £270 a month for 3 years, only paying £400 interest. Very happy with the car too! Very cheap to run, £40 = 350 miles, £20 tax and no MOT for a couple of years
In more money saving news... My credit card is now interest free (thanks Halifax!) so had a chat with my boyfriend & decided my overdraft was actually costing me £1 a day to be in so he's loaned me the money to pay it off.
So aside from the car loan, my life is interest free!!. Thrilled! And I feel completely in control of my finances.
I will be fully...100%...completely...debt free by October (apart from the car)
