Hello Mockingjay
I tried the 5:2 diet last year. I fasted 4 or 5 times, but must have lost about a half a pound each day I fasted which was great. It does take some willpower which I have lacked in recent months and living with my parents drives me to the biscuit tin. But I must get back to it, I felt better for it.
How do you get through the fast days? Do you have distraction techniques?

Ello elloI drink A LOT on fast days and have my meals already planned out and ready to cook the moment I get home. Basically, I avoid even having to think about food!
The earlier days were a lot easier! I've skipped a few fast days recently but have been calorie counting throughout the week instead. I wish I was naturally thin or not bother about having wobbly bits!CC1 - [STRIKE]£8746[/STRIKE] £2801 71%LBM September 2012 - Current DFD Oct 14

I AM GOING NEXT YEAR. MY 30TH AND DEBT FREE YEAR!
Just registered and I have to pay £50 deposit in October then the balance, around £150 in April when I'm CC free. Thankfully, we have use of a lovely VW Camper so no soggy tents - whoop!!!CC1 - [STRIKE]£8746[/STRIKE] £2801 71%LBM September 2012 - Current DFD Oct 14

Another one (no spend day) today - horrah! Luckily, I was in a long meeting so lunch was delivered. Whoop!
In other news, I'm very confused about my credit card interest. I was told it's 25.9% apr BUT I'm not being charged that. I have an estimated interest of £115.52 next month with a balance of £6264. I can't work it out! All my snowball calculators are estimating much higher interest costs. Might post in the scary CC forum... eek!CC1 - [STRIKE]£8746[/STRIKE] £2801 71%LBM September 2012 - Current DFD Oct 14

Near the end of the day and despite going dangerously close to Starbucks, I remained spend free all day!
Still no closer on my weird interest situation. Going to keep quiet & hope it continues!
Found out yesterday that my annual bonus will be about £1400 after tax so plus the usual £600 payment plus £400 from my boyfriend... I get it at the of August. That big ol' chunk of money is going to take me to nearly 60% paid off!Thank gawd for bonuses!

Today I can eat! :j I have already gobbled 2 slices of toast with butter and honey.... and a lump of cheese.
I've made some low spend plans for the weekend. Meeting a friend in town tomorrow but I won't be spending on anything apart from a book we're having signed. And on Sunday, we're going on a bike ride as far as a pub for a Crabbies. Oh and I need to do a weekly food shop. Got to get it to £45-50 max this week if I'm to hit my £200 on food for the month target. I'm going to try Aldi and see what the fuss is about...fingers crossed for success.
Can't stop thinking about my debts. Not in a negative way, more in a CAN'T WAIT TO BE PAID SO I CAN PAY MORE OFF WAY! Roll on August payday... I want to get into the 3000s on my CC. And the thought of eventually having...*deep breath*... SAVINGS. Actual savings for the first time in my life. Crazy.CC1 - [STRIKE]£8746[/STRIKE] £2801 71%LBM September 2012 - Current DFD Oct 14

Woo it's warm! Too warm for my pale skin! Not that I'm complaining...! I need all the vitamin D I can lay my hands on!
Spent £26 on the book signing all in all. Only had hard backs availableand parking turned out to be £6! Extortionate! BUT I resisted a pretzel, Starbucks, the juice bar and a posh Pret lunch. GROWTH! Instead I stopped at the supermarket on the way home & get a £11 topup shop. Couldn't face a big shop - too busy. Why do people treat going to Sainsburys like a family event?! One group had two trolleys & about 6 kids all running wild. Take them to the park & get it delivered! Grrr!
