Plain boys pyjamas without characters.

H&M also do reasonably priced plain pj's. They also do separates - DS has lots of their pyjama bottoms (some character, some just patterned). I tend to match them up with old t-shirts that have gone a bit scruffy or that fussy old DS doesn't want to wear in the day any more. Half the time him and DD strip off in the night anyway when it's warm. Next also have some plain onesies at the moment, and I've always seen lots of non-character onesies in Primark (although they may not have so many at this time of year).
Nothing nicer on them in the winter than a good old fashioned pair of plain fleecy pyjamas!
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
Matalan do loads of classic fit non character pyjamas, I have been buying there for my son recently as the bottoms suit his bodyshape the best, and although he loves his character pjs, they do lots of plain, robot, animal etc type ones.0

JOhn Lewis and M & S - I don't like character clothes for DS, either, and his PJs are from those two places....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

If its just pyjamas, does it matter so much what's on them? He's only going to sleep in them. I'm not a fan either but fast forward a few years and now DS wants to wear his (gift) Spider-Man tee every day.
Make the most of it whilst your little one doesn't voice his opinion about what he wears
I figure now there's no harm in character clothes, and I try to pick my battles wisely. Sometimes it takes some persuading to wear pants and trousers as he "likes a bare bottom" if the alternative is Ben 10 cargo pants, well, I think that's the lesser of two evils haha

We have some 2-3 m&S sleepsuits and they are massive.. my very tall daughter has just outgrown them yet the rest of her clothes are age 5.. they don't ride up so she is covered all night.
Other than that she has Next pj's (non-character ones too) and some mothercare (ben and holly) and they wash really well and have had no shrinkage on the next ones which I find is a massive problem with some brands.
Mine loves the fleecy onesies over the top of her pjs all year round!!
I don't buy the short pjs either so you aren't alone in your craziness

Keep a check in Lidls. They get really great quality nightwear in for kids and usually sized to cover 2 years. My daughter has had loads of pyjamas, nighties and short sets without characters from there.
Everywhere else (minus Asda) seems to just do character stuff, especially BM Stores.1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000
