I am just like you OP and dislike character clothing too. My sister bought my boys some lovely old fashioned style pyjamas for Xmas. She got them from M&S and The White Company. Not cheap but they wash well and look great. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

Always buy next pyjamas for my boy.
They are great value , lots of striped and checked designs available at the moment.0 -
I think I'm being thick. What's wrong with shorts/t shirt ones in summer?Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Thanks again. I do like the Next ones, even though they have the straighter leg, it's not a deal breaker. I will look in Sainsbury's as well.
Ciderwithrosie - I don't mind animals and things like that, but it's the commercial characters like Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder, Peppa Pig etc. that I dislike (no offence to people who do like them
). They seem to be plastered onto everything at the moment.
Ames - shorts and t-shirt ones are fine in the Summer but not too good in the Winter, especially as my son sleeps best in a cool room and always kicks the covers off. I find that long ones work all year round.0 -
I like the skinny fit ones but I also dislike characters. I don't mind dinosaurs or robots or whatever but I dislike actual bob the builder, barney the dinosaur etc. I usually get them from tesco or Asda and they're non skinny legged but I'm going to Next from now on as they do the skinny leg I like xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Could you get him a onesie to sleep in, his midriff would remain covered too but if he's little and gets up to use the toilet in the night he may struggleThrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
