But we don't know what the OP bought in the store and we don't know what the OP has in her cupboards and we don't know if that £10 was the OP's last one for the week or month.
To go back to your previous post, we don't even know if the OP would have had to walk 8 miles home.

And I still can't see where the fact that she's pregnant has any relevance.

I didn't know the forums had become so strict that nobody should ask any questions until they've consulted their lawyers on what is and is not relevant.

It wouldn't have any relevance to the actual problem, but it could well be very relevant as to why the OP was getting very stressed out if they were tired, their hormones were "out of balance" etc.

    But you weren't asking questions.

You were assuming things that hadn't been said in order to attempt to reinforce your point.

I think people are being quite unnecessarily nasty to you op, actually to save face, or make a point I am not sure what.

It's not inconceivable to me that someone could be on their last £10. You've only got to read some threads on this site to see people are literally budgeting to their last £1. So it's all relevant. Your £10, could be someone's £1000. No shopping, no money, but to leave you in a situation with no travel home, when pregnant, would've been upsetting.

Yes they rectified it. But only after you burst into floods in the middle of the store. I'd personally complain via their fb or something. You might get a goodwill gesture.

I hate compo seekers, but I can see why you were upset tbh.

In theory, exactly the same problem can arise where you hand over £10 to a cashier and they think it was a £5. They won't typically give back your £5 until they've cashed up and prove to be up.

If the staff didn't seem to care that much, consider that it might have been your attitude. Very early on, when someone was in the early stages of trying to help, you were already 'getting irate'. Nobody was accusing you of lying, they were simply saying that they couldn't be sure that the money in the machine was yours.

Staff have to out up with a lot of demanding customers that think they're owed the world. A few manners and a calm attitude might have led them to seem more friendly and sympathetic, but either way your issue was dealt with.

And, is it advisable not to eat or drink for two days, not have painkillers or medication in the cupboard, not have soap to get washed with?

Do you really think this lady was going to buy food for two days and painkillers and medication with £10?

Oh... remember that she was going to buy a bus ticket for an eight mile journey with the change from that £10.
That alone must cost a few pounds.

OP, yes you did forget to tell us that you are pregnant in the original post. That fact alone makes it slightly more understandable that the inconvenience caused you to burst into tears.
